Other people have already brought up reasons against this, but I just
wanted to mention that the Haskell Group doesn't use a gbp layout for
all of it's packages. Converting all the packages to gbp would mean a
lot of work for the conversion and would probably result in less
convenient workflows for the team once the conversion is done.

At least from my point of view, I don't see how the benefit of
consistency outweighs the cost of conversion and not being able to
adjust your workflows to your needs.
