Since I am subscribed to seversl "debian--changes" lists
I was wondering too. I was meaning, I get REALY infos about
changes on the requested architecture. Can this be corrected?

AFAIK, debian-ports was configured as an "alias" for all porting lists, i.e.
there were no archives for the debian-ports list itself.

This did not work very well with crossassassin (as messages posted to
debian-ports ended up having a cross-list count of 10 or more), but I
don't know if something was done to fix it.

Hmm, I'm not sure why the last valid post is listed as 2003-03; I'm pretty
sure I've seen it used more recently than that to blast mails out to all the
porting lists. Then again, ISTR that the list has also been listed as
"deprecated" for quite some time.

As it wasn't used the last 5 years, i don't see any valid reasin to keep
it alive. It had all in all ~15 posts in 4 years and is dead for the
past 5 years now. Sorry Joey, but i see no valid reason for keeping this
list artifitial alive.

Greetings

Weren't the other lists meant for binary uploads like the names
 suggest?

Because it's -devel-changes? the -changes ones were meant for stable.
(these logs may be missing as well, though).

Maybe I'm the only one wondering but: why aren't uploads announced to
 the *-changes lists anymore?

I can certainly imagine these lists could be of a providential help for
archives maintained outside of Debian or for scripts.

I'd rather keep this list for commercial entities to announce
something in connection with our press team to the Debian community.

> debian-ports2 2003-03

This was always meant as an alias to the various porting lists
so you may not see normal postings due to the configuration or
nature.
