Joining the PAPT with roundup

2014-01-15 Thread Kai Storbeck
Hello everyone,

I currently maintain roundup for the past 2 years, which has been a
bumpy ride, I got 1 release out of the door for wheezy.

Recently I found the existence of this team, and I sincerely hope you
can help me with the roundup package maintenance in the long run.

I have a few outstanding issues for the next 1.5 upload for jessie,
which I'm discussing with Sebastian Ramacher, but I'd like to move the
sources into Aloith's svn, and get some more exposure to potential
sponsors through the PAP team.

My Alioth username is kaisan-guest, and I would like to request a
repository on Alioth for roundup.

Cheers,
Kai

Modest suggestion for pybuild/dhpy2/dhpy3

2014-01-15 Thread Barry Warsaw
Crazy idea.

When pybuild runs `$python setup.py test` for each of the supported versions
of Python, you get build output containing several test runs (e.g. for Python
2.7, 3.3, and 3.4). When one of those has a failure it's sometimes not so
easy to figure out which version of Python failed.

What if pybuild/dhpy2/dhpy3 could output a nice little banner indicating which
version of Python was being used to run the test? Perhaps just the output of
sys.version (.splitlines()[0]?) in a big blinky banner?
