Joining the Python Modules team

2017-07-14 Thread Ethan Ward
Hello,

I'm Ethan Ward, a Mycroft developer. Mycroft is an open-source
voice-activated assistant. I've been trying to create Debian packages for
Mycroft, with the goal of eventually getting them in the main Debian
package repositories. Since Mycroft is written purely in Python, I've had
to package many of our python dependencies as well. I'm interested in
getting these packages and mycroft packages into the repositories at
alioth, and eventually into Debian. I've been using Launchpad as a method
of building and testing packages, and from what I understand, I'll only
need slight changes to the packages for Debian - versioning differences and
changing the targeted distribution to unstable.

All of the packages can be found here:
https://launchpad.net/~mycroft-ai/+archive/ubuntu/mycroft-ai/+packages.
I've read and accept the Python Modules Team policy (
https://python-modules.alioth.debian.org/policy.html), and I accept it. I'm
working on transferring all of the packages to this git repository method,
which shouldn't be too bad. I'd appreciate any feedback or advice on the
current packages as they are currently as well.

My alioth username is currently ethanward-guest.

Thanks,
Ethan

Joining the python-modules team

2016-04-07 Thread Danny Edel
Hello,

I would like to join the python-modules team. I am currently the
maintainer of borgbackup, and I want to package a dependency of the
unittests, pytest-benchmark. I already filed an ITP to prevent
duplicate work, in case someone else has the same idea (#820301).
I would prefer to create this package under the umbrella of the
python-modules team.

I have read the policy and accept it, and I will do my best to follow it
(starting with the git-dpm repository layout). My alioth-login is
dannyedel-guest.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

- Danny

Apologies for the French subject line in the previous mail. I'm
resending in case it caused it to be trapped by spam filters.

I would be glad to join the python-modules packaging team.

My alioth login is afayolle, and for those who dwell there, my irc nick
is agurney.

Thanks,

Well, #alioth #debian-women #debian-release #debian-qa are all on OFTC.
So both networks are unavoidable until irc.d.o points to OFTC directly.

In other words, OFTC is fine.

May I suggest to move to the freenode.net IRC network? Most "official"
debian channels live there anyway :)

Cheers,
Igor

Hi!

I'm currently in the NM-Process and maintain the packages python-pysnmp2
and pida. I'd like to join the python-modules team to help with
comaintaining the packages.

My alioth login is jluebbe-guest.
