it's the first contact made with the person to clarify their status

Well, it's not the buy that is nice, but our email to contact him, in
the sense that we are nicely asking him if he's still active and so.

Cheers,

Agreed, looks like a candidate for removal from testing (-release@ Cc'd
for that), and maybe even from unstable (-qa@ Cc'd for that).

Maintenance of drgeo in Debian

2008-12-07 Thread Ben Hutchings
Hilaire,

You are listed as the maintainer of drgeo and drgeo-doc in Debian, but
you have not updated either for over 3 years and have not been handling
bug reports.

Do you intend to take up maintenance again, or should these packages be
orphaned?

Ben.

Ben,

I used to build Debian package of DrGeo (I am also the upstream author
and I am looking for another maintener as well) and request to a
Debian developer to upload it in Debian.
I don't intend to maintain the Debian package anymore.

Hilaire

Hi all.
Recently, I made two NMU of drgeo.

Hilarie, if you want to orphan these packages
(drgeo and drgeo-doc), I would like to adopt them.

I think drgeo is in good state by now, but anyway I want
to adopt it.

Best regards,
Francisco.
