You can start here: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianDevelopment

There are several links to other resources about Debian
Development. If you want to help users with their technical doubts,
just subscribe to debian-user mail list or stay around the #debian
IRC channel on irc.debian.org and help as much as you can.

There are demands to write documentation and other items to
help out Debian. You just have to find out a more specific area. :)

Kind regards,

    AIUI, it makes 4 months.

September 6 to 10 is going to hold the i18n meeting. Check out
the [1]WorkSessionsExtremadura wikipage.

BTW, I'm overseas and until now just following QA (-qa) but I
would like to contribute, probably not attending Extremadura Session,
perhaps in DebConf (if I'm able to attend) or over the internet. :)

You should subscribe to [1]debian-l10n-portuguese, the
Portuguese Localization list, discussions are held in pt_{PT,BR}
and we translate everything that we can, from Debian webpages to
Debian manpages. :-)

We use pseudo-urls like other l10n teams... and you are
very welcome to join us, help qa and help l10n-pt. :-)
