Package: newsclipper
Version: 1.28-1
Severity: normal

WTF? Why would a package be attempting to remove anything under the
sacrosanct /usr/local?

Preparing to replace newsclipper 1.17-3 (using .../newsclipper_1.28-1_all.deb)
...
rmdir: `/usr/local/lib/newsclipper': Directory not empty
Unpacking replacement newsclipper ...
keyboard: Timeout - AT keyboard not present?
Setting up newsclipper (1.28-1) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/NewsClipper.cfg ...

Whatever it did, there's only a directory tree there now, so the damage
appears to have been done.

Bug#141702: skipped lyrics in playmidi -r

2002-04-07 Thread Seneca Cunningham
Package: playmidi
Version: 2.4-4

playmidi -r occasionally misses some lines of lyrics. splaymidi and
xplaymidi don't. The missed lines are generally shorter than most other
lines (usually between 1 and 3 characters long). The same lines are
consistently missed each time the file is played. The skipped lines
appear to be correctly formatted in the files.

Bug#141614: freedce: doc package is rather useless

2002-04-07 Thread Peter Samuelson

Package: freedce-doc
Version: 1.1.0-4

freedce-doc consists of two example files in /usr/share/doc/examples,
but they are ELF binaries. They should be source code.

And more examples should be provided, but that's a wishlist bug. (:

Bug#141613: freedce: idl compiler needs devel environment

2002-04-07 Thread Peter Samuelson

Package: freedce-dceidl
Version: 1.1.0-4

The DCE IDL compiler won't do much without its include files. Thus I
would recommend combining freedce-dceidl and libfreedce-dev into one
package, or at least making the former depend on the latter.

(Come to think of it, I fail to see why freedce-uuid should be a
separate package. It is only a single 10k binary, and is usually used
in conjunction with the two above-mentioned packages. So really, those
three packages could *all* be combined. I would call the result
'freedce-dev' or 'libfreedce-dev'.)

Earn 40% per month - every month!

2002-04-07 Thread cammac

Dear Sir/MadamI obtained
your e-mail address from an auto-responder. You are not on a mailing
list.I recently joined an investment program. I can now safely say that
I have found an investment program that pays, pays well and pays on
time.I am now receiving 40% per month on my investment and I also
receive 5% of the funds that people I refer invest. I’ve just entered my
forth month and I’ve earned 120% of my investment. I’ve also earned quite a bit
from referrals – that’s a bonus I wasn’t counting on.The company frowns
on spamming so I won’t give you the name here. I want to get the word out to
make more referral fees before the memberships are full.If you would
like to hear more please e-mail me at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]
> and I’ll get back to you right away, you’ll be happy you did.If
you are upset you received this e-mail I’m sorry but don’t worry. This is
the only one I will send.Thank you,Cameron
