No, the naming's just confusing for historical reasons. ssh supports
both protocols.

Consider using OpenSSH (the ssh package) instead. ssh2 has been removed
from testing and unstable, and is effectively no longer supported.

This seems to happen only on /usr and on none of the other partitions.

running xdiskusageon /usr in any way (files, directories, commandline)
errors with "output doesn't look like du output".
xdiskusage runs just fine on other partitions.

ther'es nothing different about /usr here except that it is very
large. xdisusage used to run just fine on it, except that the number
of inodes increased a lot recently i think.

Bug#276193: xdiskusage: fails if the standard input is closed or /dev/null

2004-10-12 Thread Cyril Bouthors
Package: xdiskusage
Version: 1.48-1
Severity: normal

Xdiskusage fails to display properly if the standard input is closed
or /dev/null. Here's a way to reproduce it:

xdiskusage < /dev/null

Gnome and KDE close standard input when launching programs from menus.

Bug#174026: Bug reproduced but the patch does not fix it.

2004-10-12 Thread Cyril Bouthors
Hi,

I've successfully reproduced the bug with those commands:

# 600 * 2 > 1024
for a in `seq 600`; do echo -n x/; done | xargs mkdir -p
xdiskusage .

xdiskusage does not fail with 500 (500 * 2 < 1024).

I've also tried the patch from Jim Meyering but it does not fix that
bug, at least in version 1.48.

I'll forward the bug to the upstream author.

Thanks.
