Bug#470234: xcruise: should this package be removed?
Package: xcruise Version: 0.30-8 Severity: serious User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: proposed-removal Dear Maintainer, While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a possible candidate for removal from Debian, because: * Package is buggy (Serious bug for 4 years, even if unreproducible by some). + I am able to reproduce it. * Package is orphaned. (Orphaned Jan 2007) * Upstream has been dead since 2003. If you think that it should be orphaned instead of being removed from Debian, please reply to this bug and tell so. If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please just close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues. If you agree that it should be removed, send the following commands to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (replace nn with this bug's number): severity nn normal reassign nn ftp.debian.org retitle nn RM: -- RoM; thanks For more information, see http://wiki.debian.org/ftpmaster_Removals http://ftp-master.debian.org/removals.txt Thank you, Barry deFreese -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#461455: I am working on it
Now, I will adopt this package. as I verified. the bugs should be in libcurl or curlftpfs. I found every fail occurs when curl login ftp with rubbished login user name and password. It seems maybe stack is destroyed in some place. I'm digging into the sources to fix it and send the patch to upstream. -- Best Regards, Ding Honghui -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? sylpheed-claws REMOVED from testing
FYI: The status of the sylpheed-claws source package in Debian's testing distribution has changed. Previous version: 1.0.5-5.2 Current version: (not in testing) Hint: (no removal hint found) The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals. -- This email is automatically generated; [EMAIL PROTECTED] is responsible.
