Bug#517032: b43-cutter cannot extract firmware
Package: firmware-b43-installer Version: 4.150.10.5-5 Severity: normal Hi Rene, Firstly, thanks for your maintaining job. I have this problem with firmware-b43-installer and I have solved by compiling b43-fwcutter by myself. The message I get is as following: Sorry, the input file is either wrong or not supported by b43-fwcutter. This file has an unknown MD5sum cb8d70972b885b1f8883b943c0261a3c. It is rare because same firmware runs with my compiled version of fwcutter. Have you seen Vsevolod has the same architecture like me (powerpc)?. I'm not sure but I think the problem is the compiling process of b43-fwcutter. I'll try to help you with this issue. The transition phase to KDE4 and Qt4 will finish since both KDE and Nokia upstream don't maintain the old versions of those libraries anymore. In order to make this move, all packages directly or indirectly depending on the KDE3/Qt3 libraries have to either get ported to KDE4/Qt4 or eventually get removed from the Debian repositories. Therefore, please take the time and: - contact your upstream (if existing) and ask about the state of a KDE4/Qt4 port of your application - if there are no activities regarding porting, investigate whether there are suitable alternatives for your users - if there is a KDE4/Qt4 port that is not yet packaged, consider packaging it - if both the KDE3/Qt3 and the KDE4/Qt4 version already coexist in the Debian archives, consider removing the KDE3/Qt3 version Documentation on how to port to KDE4 can be found at: http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Development/Tutorials/KDE4_Porting_Guide Documentation on how to port to Qt4 can be found at: http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/porting4.html For any questions and issues, do not hesitate to contact the Debian Qt/KDE team at debian-qt-...@lists.debian.org Eckhart ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: kradio4 Source-Version: 4.0.2-2 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of kradio4, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: kradio4_4.0.2-2.debian.tar.gz to main/k/kradio4/kradio4_4.0.2-2.debian.tar.gz kradio4_4.0.2-2.dsc to main/k/kradio4/kradio4_4.0.2-2.dsc kradio4_4.0.2-2_amd64.deb to main/k/kradio4/kradio4_4.0.2-2_amd64.deb kradio_4.0.2-2_all.deb to main/k/kradio4/kradio_4.0.2-2_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: lineak-kdeplugins |2:0.9-6 | source, alpha, amd64, armel, hppa, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc --- Reason --- RoQA; orphaned, low popcon, dead upstream, KDE 3 -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the earliest. Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is really needed, please contact them if this should be the case. We try to close Bugs which have been reported against this package automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they where closed correctly or should have been re-assign to another package. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 612...@bugs.debian.org. Bug#612069: Removed package(s) from unstable
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: kallery |1.2.0-4 | source kallery | 1.2.0-4+b1 | alpha, amd64, armel, hppa, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc kallery | 1.2.0-4+b2 | hurd-i386 kallery-data |1.2.0-4 | all --- Reason --- RoQA; orphaned, KDE 3, dead upstream, replacements -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. Step to reproduce : - install wmnet - add a 'drawer' to the panel, 64 pixel wide to fit the windowmaker applets - add a swallorer to the drawer, with the following parameters : Program to run : /usr/bin/wmnet --device br0 -l -x 240 -r LightSeaGreen -t firebrick --normalstate Window name to swallow : wmnet - the applet is correctly swallowed - exit your gnome session - log in back - the applet stays in a independant window instead of being swallowed - right click on the empty space of the drawer - click reconfigure - click OK - the applet is back in the drawer I am pretty sure it happens with other windowmaker applets too. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages gnome-swallow-applet depends on: ii gnome-panel2.14.3-2 launcher and docking facility for ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-01.12.3-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.14.0-3 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.14.0-5 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.2.4-4 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfontconfig1 2.4.1-2 generic font configuration library ii libgconf2-42.16.0-2 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-keyring0 0.6.0-2 GNOME keyring services library ii libgnome2-02.16.0-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.14.0-2 A powerful object-oriented display ii libgnomeui-0 2.14.1-2 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 2.14.2-3 GNOME virtual file-system (runtime ii libgtk2.0-02.8.20-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice61:1.0.1-2 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii liborbit2 1:2.14.3-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpanel-applet2-0 2.14.3-2 library for GNOME 2 panel applets ii libpango1.0-0 1.14.7-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpopt0 1.10-3lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsm6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor11.1.7-4 X cursor management library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxfixes3 1:4.0.1-4 X11 miscellaneous 'fixes' extensio ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.1-4.1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxml22.6.27.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii libxrandr2 2:1.1.0.2-4 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender11:0.9.1-3 X Rendering Extension client libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13compression library - runtime gnome-swallow-applet recommends no packages. -- no debconf information ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Version: 1.2-4+rm Dear submitter, as the package gnome-swallow has just been removed from the Debian archive unstable we hereby close the assiciated bug reports. Bug#612061: Removed package(s) from unstable
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: wmgtemp | 0.8-1 | source, alpha, armel, hppa, i386, ia64, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc wmgtemp | 1.1-1 | source, amd64 --- Reason --- RoQA; orphaned, minimal popcon -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. Bug#612071: Removed package(s) from unstable
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: kguitar | 0.5-3 | source, alpha kguitar | 0.5-3+b1 | amd64, armel, hppa, i386, ia64, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc --- Reason --- RoQA; orphaned, KDE 3 -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
