The break has just been removed in libguava-java/15.0-2

I already filed the bugs upstream. sisu-guice has been fixed and a patch
is awaiting to be merged for stapler. jython is the remaining pain
point, when I checked the code it didn't seem trivial to fix, so it
would be better handled by the upstream developers.

Would you mind then uploading a new Guava package without the Break:,
and opening normal bugs against jython, sisu-guice and stapler to
migrate away from MapMake.makeComputingMap()?

Thanks,

It isn't, I patched Guava to preserve the compatibility and forgot to
remove the Breaks, sorry about that. This is a temporary solution
though, I'm not sure to be able to maintain the compatibility in the
future versions of Guava.

Bug#724713: jython: Can not install

2013-10-16 Thread Gilles Filippini
Hi,

I intended to give a try at fixing this bug which affects my package
sikuli. But surprisingly jython doesn't FTBFS on sid with libguava-java
15.0-1. Is this Breaks: actually needed after all?

Thanks in advance,

_g.

Bug#724713: jython: Can not install

2013-09-26 Thread Nobuhiro Iwamatsu
Package: jython
Version: 2.5.2-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

jython can not install on sid.

-
$ sudo apt-get install jython
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
jython : Depends: libguava-java but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
-

jython depends libguava-java. But libguava-java sets 'jython (<= 2.5.2-2)' to
Breaks.

Could you check package?

Best regards,
  Nobuhiro
