How can they be kept in sync? Any change to the cvs would likely break
the patches. The patches are only in sync for the specific checkout they
were done against, Some of the minor patches might work across checkouts
but the bigger ones will not.

I think it is wrong to keep the KDE CVS and the official debian diff's out of
sync. What's the point of this list and working together if everyone starts
removing necessary patches to do clean builds ?

The patches are in kdelibs_3.1.4-2.diff.gz I didn't really see the
point of including them in cvs since they will for the most part need to
be regenerated for each release.

For kdelibs I have:

109053 2003-10-05 18:30 01_kdelibs_branch.diff.uu
290447 2003-10-05 01:30 02_autotools_update.diff
   459 2003-10-05 01:30 03_am_maintainer_mode.diff
   698 2003-10-05 01:30 04_xlibs_pic.diff
   993 2003-10-05 15:04 05_kstandarddirs.diff
   439 2003-10-05 01:30 06_pedantic-errors.diff

By the way the branch diff's are generated using diff -Nrua so they can
include binary only changes like image updates so when they include
binary data they need to be uuencoded. I've decided to just uuencode all
the branch diffs so I won't have to verify if it contains binary data.

?!? What is going on ? How can we build packages for debian then if we don't
even know where the patches are ?!?
