meta-kde override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): kde-devel_3.1.2_all.deb: package says priority is optional, override says extra. Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why. [NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.] -- Debian distribution maintenance software (This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED])

Bug#183702: Third try
Hi, I've already tried to send this two times, I have no idea why it's not getting through to the bug report page... Anyway, I've tested this bug in a VMWare Debian stable machine, and done something like this: apt-get -s -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=1 dist-upgrade and I have gotten the attached output. I'm not sure what this means, but my guess is that we should provide a dummy kdelibs3 package that depends on kdelibs4 or sth like that. Anyway, as the help tag says, help is welcomed here. cheers domi Reading Package Lists... Building Dependency Tree... Bug#183702: confirmed
Hi, I thought I'd already sent this, but I have confirmed this bug on a vmware debian stable-sid upgrade. Bug#174226: patch: DebianSessionTypes
package kdebase tags 174226 +patch thanks Hi, This patch fixes the problem by making kdm also read in a list called DebianSessionTypes. kdm-update-menu now leaves the real SessionTypes alone, and messes only with DebianSessionTypes, which are marked as Don't Edit !. Re: KDE 3.1.4 Status Update - 20040106
kdeutils mips- failed - needs the SYS_sysinfo fix [1] ... [1] - Was broken after supposed toolchain freeze by f*cking wonderful toolchain changes. Yeah, that one sucks a lot; I've noted some other packages it bites in the appropriate bug trail. That one showed up in a supposed bug-fix-only release of glibc, which is especially galling. glibc has been the most troublesome package for a very long time now. I've been meaning to try to work on that bug myself, and not having a MIPS, it seemed it might not be the best use of my time, so I've been fighting with (upstream) GCC 3.4 configury issues instead. [0] - The failure above seem to be caused by: mpeglib/lib/input/cdromAccess_Linux.cpp:13 typedef unsigned long long __u64; Anyone happen to know if its safe to remove that or some other easy way to work around it? The 'conflicting' definition is typedef long unsigned int __u64 from /usr/ include/asm/types.h (included via linux/cdrom.h). Obviously __u64 is meant to be an unsigned 64-bit integer in both cases. It looks like the 'other' (asm/types.h) definition is included in the same way from the same place on all arches. If this is in fact the case, then it should be safe to remove the cdromAccess_Linux.cpp definition.

Its trivial to fix just need to substitute in sysinfo() instead. The same thing had to be done for kdebase. I didn't notice kdeutils had that problem until I was writing the status update last night. Hopefully there aren't any other alpha/ia64 bugs lurking behind it. Chris signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Re: KDE 3.1.4 Status Update - 20040106
kdegraphics --- mips- failed - this one is odd I believe that this is a bug with XFree86 vs. FreeType2 which was fixed very recently. So it just needs to be retried. :-/
