That page is far from correct[1] html. Ofcourse, there
are lots of buggy web pages out there, and khtml tries
to be as bug-to-bug compatible with major browsers, but
sometimes it might be better to use your time persuading
the web page author to create standard-compatible pages
rather than to bloat browsers with a yet another workaround.

This does not happen on other web pages. Seriously, if you think
there is a rendering bug in khtml (konqueror), you need to
create a simplified test case[2] and submit it to the upstream
bugzilla[3]. We simply do not have enough time to find the
bug-triggering html from the page.

Problems with startup menu.

2004-04-24 Thread Jan Hudec
Hello,

I have a problem that "Debian" item disapeared from my start menu in
KDE (quite recently, with update from 4:3.2.2-1 to 4:3.2.2-2).

The /etc/menu-methods/kdelibs-bin is gone. It is reported by
packages.debian.org as being in kdelibs-bin 4:3.2.2-2, but does not
exist on my system (was deleted by preinst script, but never created nor
does it exist in the .deb).

Unfortunately I don't know where the menu resides, so I can't check what
is actualy on disk. The strange thing is, that I have two accounts here
and one sees the Debian menu empty in kmenuedit (and it does not appear
in start), while from the other kmenuedit shows it fully populated (I
never run KDE session from that account).

I am not reporting this as a bug (yet), because I don't know what caused
it. Please, tell me which things I should check.

KDE 3.2.2 Status Update - 20040424

2004-04-24 Thread Chris Cheney
It looks like a large chunk of KDE 3.2.2 will make it into sarge by
next week once the buildds catch up. I still need to deal with
kdebindings, kdepim, kdeutils, meta-kde, and meta-kde-extras. I hope
to get the rest of my stuff taken care of by the end of thise week.
Also Ben still has a few packages to upload: kdeartwork, kdesdk, and
quanta. There also seems to be some kind of strange problem with kdeedu
and libboost-python, but only on the arm platform? Norman still needs to
upload the new kdevelop3.

Finally, the ID10T award goes out to Michael Schmitz for failing a
build due to a timeout (on a really slow m68k mac 68040/33) instead
of simply setting it to build on a faster box!
