Package: kdelibs
Version: 3.2.2-2

/etc/kde3/system.kdeglobals is not included in this package (or any
other kde package, as far as I can see), and it is not listed as a
conffile for it. I only noticed its absence because I was going to add
some of the KDE Kiosk restrictions to it.

The system is a recent install from a Sarge d-i mini-CD (4/13/2004),
which I immediately upgraded to Sid. I probably lost the file in the
recent problem where said file is deleted in the kdelibs postinst script
(fixed in 3.2.2-2). That bug existed in 3.2.2-1, so I'm wondering if
3.2.2-1 is also when system.kdeglobals was disowned (dis-conffile'd).

Obviously there are still uses for a systemwide configuration file, so I
suggest it be added back in, or failing that, an explanation given for
why it isn't and won't be included anymore...

2004-05-16 Thread Peter Rockai
CVS commit by mornfall:

Implement the load and initialization of extended state. It is stored in
working directory, in file debug-libcapture.extstate, for now. If the
file does not exist, kapture will initialize it from cache by simulating
installation of every already-installed package. Due to AMAS system
employed by pkgcache.cpp, this can take quite a bit of time (~ 70
seconds on my system). I'll try to reduce this, but i guess i'll have to
implement progress bar for it anyway. Will see...

CVS commit by mornfall:

- fix the package status display (will be removed/installed)
- fix the annoying "PKG" tab titles (use package name instead)
- start the extended state init routine (should work, but will need
progress meter or sth, as on my machine it takes like 70 seconds...
aww; otherwise, it seems to work quite well, still needs some fixes in
pkgcache.cpp (python is triggering a situation where wanted == unwanted)

This was fixed before 3.2.1. The Debian packages tend to take recent
snapshots from BRANCH, which includes the latest stable fixes. There is
no need to file a bug for this.
