Bug#265188: kaddressbook: Better compatibility with vcards images

2004-08-11 Thread Alessandro Dalvit
Package: kaddressbook
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: wishlist

I'm using a Sony Ericsson T630 and it can bind an image to a
contact. It can also tranfer its phonebook in vcard format.

Unfortunately it seems to handle images differently from kaddressbook:
it knows only jpg and not png, a vcard with image attached from the
phone isn't read by kaddressbook, and vice-versa

The first line of the image field from the phone is:

PHOTO;ENCODING=BASE64;TYPE=JPEG:/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQEASABIAAD/2wBDABALDA4MChAODQ4SERATGCgaGBYWGDEjJR0oOjM9PDkz

I don't know if it's 100% vcard compliant, but I think it would be a
beautiful think for all S/E phones owners if it worked ;)

Thanks

Bug#233151: (no subject)

2004-08-11 Thread james mcguire
I have the similar problem-
Juk 2.0.1
Kde 3.2.3

I use gstreamer and kernel 2.6.6 with the preemptive patch and deadline
scheduler. I have set x's nice value to 0 and arts gets a little
improvement, but it still distorts the sound. If i use gstreamer, juk's gui
will freeze between songs for at least 10 seconds (even up to a minute).

I've reported this bug to bugs.kde.org - bug # 86810.

Thanks,
James

Bug#264189: other info

2004-08-11 Thread Emanuele
I have the same problem (Konqueror doesn't remember file associations).
To install the system I tried both the installer beta 4 and RC1.

The strange thing is that I have another computer with sarge installed and
Konqueror does remember file associations. The only difference I know is that
I used an old version of the installer (I don't remember which one).
I hope this can be useful.

bye
Emanuele

Bug#264976: kmail: fails to start due to undefined symbol in libkmailprivate

2004-08-11 Thread Ariel Garcia
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.2.3-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Kmail fails to start, because:

kmail: relocation error: /usr/lib/libkmailprivate.so.0: undefined symbol:
_ZN12KTextBrowser15createPopupMenuERK6QPoint

This bug is only present in kmail-3.2.3, downgrading kmail from 3.2.3-1 to
3.2.2-2
solves the problem.
