Package: arts Version: 1.2.3-1 Severity: minor Say in aptitude, we see this package named arts. Its description looks good. We install it. We do dlocate -L arts, and see not only is there no programs to do music, there is no documentation saying where the meat and potatoes are.

Bug#263582: More removes
Hello, I've created NMUs of the KDE meta-packages which accomplish all of this. They're at http://chrsmrtn.freeshell.org/kde. I've just updated them to take account of Frank Lichtenheld's latest NMU as well. Ben Burton has been notified about these packages, and hopefully he will upload these changes into testing-proposed-updates. If you have any comments on these packages, or want any further changes made, let me know. Cheers, Christopher Martin Quoting Alejandro Exojo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > I hope you can remove other packages that are in the official kde > modules, so > they are included in the other metapackages: > > - juk: now in kdemultimedia > - kopete: now in kdenetwork > - kcachegrind: now in kdesdk > - kgpg: now in kdeutils > - vimpart: now in kdeaddons > - umbrello: now in kdesdk > > There are other packages, like mp3kult, that maybe should be removed > too, because are orphaned.

Bug#266106: kdm: no keyboard and starting on wrong console
Hi, forcing KDM to the 7th virtual console seems to fix my keyboard problems. Today I restarted KDM 10 times with a modified Xservers config without any keyboard problems. The other way, extending the kdmrc config file works also (tested 10 times, too). So it seems that the KDM keyboard problems only depend on the number of the virtual console used. But in my opinion kcontrol should add the kdmrc entry automatically. Otherwise there will by many broken old kdmrc files. Regards Martin On Wednesday 18 August 2004 13:25, Nathaniel W. Bug#266814: kdm: Xsession script is not robust with tcsh
Package: kdm Version: 4:3.3.0-1 Severity: important When a user has tcsh/csh a login shell there are problems with the current version of the /etc/kde3/kdm/Xsession script. The problem is the command: eval `$SHELL -c 'if (-f /etc/csh.login) source /etc/csh.login; if (-f ~/.login) source ~/.login; /bin/sh -c set | egrep -v "^(BASH_VERSINFO|EUID|PPID|UID|_)="'` When executing this after updating my unstable installation, it became impossible for me to log in. The session would abort immediately, because the above command would abort the Xsession script with an error.
