Bug#275926: kmail: KMail crashes on certain mails

2004-10-10 Thread Alexey 'Snake' Nezhdanov
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

KMail just crashes if I'm pointing and clicks at certain mail.

strace output:

Do you still plan to upload KDE 3.3 versions of your packages in the near

Bug#268943: LD_PRELOAD

after reinstalling kitchensync korganizer refuses to work again.
i tied to use LD_PRELOAD to get the programm working but it was only a
kind of partial success:

Using LD_PRELOAD i am able to load the 'libkcal_resourceremote.so.1'
but then theres a second library missing.

is there a way to load more than one lib ??

Bug#275867: kopete: chat window: most people do not want to press send button for sending msg. Intro instead

2004-10-10 Thread txemi
Thank you very much, that was what I was looking for. I have just seen
that it was in kopete help, sorry.

I have seen people migrating to amsn or others clients because of not
feeling comfortable with the send button. (And of course, they did not
read the help). Perhaps kopete could be more friendly making the
"Ctrl+Enter" shortcut more "obvious". For instance, "Send" label in Send
button could be renamed to "Send (Ctrl+Enter)".

It is just one idea, I have already fixed my problem, but perhaps other
people could thank it.

txemi.

I don't understand what the Intro key is, but in Kopete you can send using
Ctrl+Enter. I think that would satisfy your needs.

BTW I have seen the same shortcut in some other IM clients, so this is some
quasi standard.

I could imagine several good reasons for not letting KDE 3.3 into sarge - if
the release of sarge is _very_ close (better the devil you know). If the
release is not very close, I see no excuse, but that is my personal opinion.
Anyhow, they are otherwise doing a good job, which I am grateful for, so I
guess I shouldn't complain.

However, it is exceedingly annoying waiting for functionality know is ready,
and even more exasperating waiting for the many bugfixes.

Bug#275867: kopete: chat window: most people do not want to press send button for sending msg. Intro instead

2004-10-10 Thread txemi
Package: kopete
Version: 4:3.3.0-2
Severity: minor

chat window: most people do not want to press send button for sending
msg. Press Intro key instead.

- For hackers: people used to work just with keyborad find really
annoying having to move hand from keyb to mouse for each message.

- For normal users: Most im clients behave this way so it is really
weird having to press mouse button for have msg delivered.

This is why default behaviour of kopete chat window is strange and
some option to change it could be higly recommended. Perhaps a checkbox
next to send button to enable "Intro key sending" or some kopete configuration
option. The first alternative seems useful in case you want to send a
multiline message from time to time, this way you could quickly
operation mode.

txemi.

Hi,

Sorry to disturb, but I would like to know why kdelibs, the top scorer amongst
the stallers, is being kept back on a policy issue.

I have always been very afraid of aging, you know, becoming old and useless
and unattractive. When I turned 50, I decided to do something about it. Now
everyone says I look 35!. Jud V., Albany, NY
