Bug#275867: kopete: chat window: most people do not want to press send button for sending msg. Intro instead
Thank you very much, that was what I was looking for. I have just seen that it was in kopete help, sorry. I have seen people migrating to amsn or others clients because of not feeling comfortable with the send button. (And of course, they did not read the help). Perhaps kopete could be more friendly making the "Ctrl+Enter" shortcut more "obvious". For instance, "Send" label in Send button could be renamed to "Send (Ctrl+Enter)". It is just one idea, I have already fixed my problem, but perhaps other people could thank it. txemi. I don't understand what the Intro key is, but in Kopete you can send using Ctrl+Enter. I think that would satisfy your needs. BTW I have seen the same shortcut in some other IM clients, so this is some quasi standard. Regards Zsolt

I could imagine several good reasons for not letting KDE 3.3 into sarge - if the release of sarge is _very_ close (better the devil you know). If the release is not very close, I see no excuse, but that is my personal opinion. Anyhow, they are otherwise doing a good job, which I am grateful for, so I guess I shouldn't complain. However, it is exceedingly annoying waiting for functionality know is ready, and even more exasperating waiting for the many bugfixes. -- Ping. venlig hilsen / best regards P.H.
