Bug#319808: kmail: misuses man section "sh"

2005-07-24 Thread Justin B Rye
Package: kmail
Severity: minor

These four man pages:

 /usr/share/man/sh/man1/kmail_antivir.1.gz
 /usr/share/man/sh/man1/kmail_clamav.1.gz
 /usr/share/man/sh/man1/kmail_fprot.1.gz
 /usr/share/man/sh/man1/kmail_sav.1.gz

...are apparently filed under /sh/ because they're documenting shell
scripts. But as far as the FHS is concerned, /usr/share/man/sh is
an obsolete code for man pages in Serbocroat; and for non-localised
documentation, Debian Policy mandates "You should only use sections
1 to 9".

On a fresh installation, we logged in as a normal user to find that
/tmp/.ICE-unix was owned by the user logged in. Subsequently the
ksmserver failed to start until I chown'd the directory back to 0:0.

Uh, so please reassign it (sorry for filing it in the wrong place),
instead of just closing it!

Could the X task force please confirm that this bug has been fixed?
I can readily reproduce it... :(
