Bug#221442: Two months: no update, no reply
El Lunes, 22 de Agosto de 2005 23:03, Chris Horn escribió: > Where can I go to read/find out about the present status of KMail? > I have not heard anything about this bug for over two months. The original report was about a problem with the IMAP account. I never had a problem with this kind of account, but I suppose is related to the synchronous-filtering problem. Getting a faster client / server, bigger bandwith, and having patience while the GUI seems frozen, helps. My recommendation: Switch to disconnected IMAP, because is the recommended kind of account for IMAP, and the filtering works better. And no, saying in the bugreport 'The "Disconnected IMAP" account type does not work AT ALL for me', doesn't help. :) Just ask in debian-kde or kdepim-users if you have problems setting up the account, but I can promise you that it works. -- Alex (a.k.a. suy) - GPG ID 0x0B8B0BC2 http://darkshines.net/ - Jabber ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Where can I go to read/find out about the present status of KMail? I have not heard anything about this bug for over two months. Thanks. Chris Horn. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#324521: kmail: Bounce should leave original Received: headers
Package: kmail Version: 4:3.3.2-3 Severity: wishlist Hello I often use the bounce function to forward emails to different systems like Ticket Tracker. Or even a Spamtrap. Now the Spamtrap know my IP which is whitelisted. So I assumed it would just take the following IP from the spamer to add it to my blacklist. Unfortunately kmail had stripped all the original Received: lines. Wouldn't it be better to leave as much of the header as possible intact while bouncing emails? kmail removes last white space if subject contains german umlaut
Hi. If I send an email (out of KMail) with the subject "Müller Schulze Schmidt" it is saved as =?iso-8859-1?q?M=FCller_Schulze?= Schmidt in "~/Mail/sent-mail/cur/". The received mail doesn't contain a white space between "Schulze" and "Schmidt" any more ("Müller SchulzeSchmidt"): =?iso-8859-1?Q?M=FCller=20SchulzeSchmidt?= Sending it with Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.2 the subject line is saved correctly as: =?ISO-8859-15?Q?M=FCller_Schulze_Schmidt?= I haven't read the appropriate rfc but I think the whole subject line should be encoded (iso-8859-1). My system: Debian 3.1 KMail 1.7.2 KDE 3.3.2 Send emails: SMTP, port 25 Receive emails: POP3, port 110 Martin
Bug#323747: A Downgrading tip
This might help others running into this problem: I saw the problem, found the bug report, and tried to downgrade kdelibs-data, by running # aptitude install kdelibs-data=4:3.3.2-6.1 Aptitude wanted to remove all of KDE. I stopped it, and only after a few more tries, I found a version which did what I wanted: # aptitude install kdelibs-data=4:3.3.2-6.1 kdelibs=4:3.3.2-6.1 kde kde-core kde-amusements (the above is of course one line) One more note, to the maintainers: I, and I suppose many other KDE/Sid users, read neither debian-kde nor the 3000 message/month debian-user regularly. When something this important pops up, you might want to drop a note to the Debian Weekly News. I am now going to do just that. Thanks for all the hard work, Shai. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
