Bug#329434: kaddressbook: Kaddressbook doesn't handle UTF-8 characters correctly
Package: kaddressbook Version: 4:3.4.2-1 Severity: normal KAddressbook doesn't display UTF-8 special characters (like Umlauts) correctly. Instead, the umlaut is broken down into two ISO-8859 characters. KMail offers to set the character encoding to ISO-8859, but I don't think that's the solution to this problem - and even if it could be a workaround, KAddressbook doesn't offer it. It seems the display is only wrong in the pane on the right of the KAddressbook Default Table View initially. But after another action, e.g. adding another contact to the address book, the display in the list of contacts is wrong as well. Also, exporting a contact exports the ISO-8859-style encoding. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.6-miraculix-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages kaddressbook depends on: ii kdelibs4c2 4:3.4.2-3 core libraries for all KDE applica ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libaudio21.7-2 The Network Audio System (NAS). Bug#329404: Rounded text boxes (icons) in konqueror buggy
Package: konqueror Version: 4:3.4.2-3 Severity: important Rounded icon text patch from http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=16962 is buggy. It make icon placement random in konqueror icon view (in some case). I already report this bug for ubuntu breezy. Bug#329390: Simple bug in kcm_kcmlirc + patch
Package: kdelirc Version: 3.4.2 All versions above 3.3 Hi, I found bug in newest kdelirc, the same like in: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75656 BUG is not resolved. I have Polish KDE and when I swich to English, everything is all right. Changing: if(!QString(*i).find(i18n( "anonymous" ))) continue; to if(!QString(*i).find( "anonymous" )) continue; in file addaction.cpp in void AddAction::updateObjects() at the end of file. Compiling module again resolves my problem. Probably it is because Polish translation is not complite or some anonymouse processes are not using i18n :) maybe it should be: if(!QString(*i).find(i18n( "anonymous" ))) continue; if(!QString(*i).find( "anonymous" )) continue; ?? This would be the best idea for English and non-english users. -- With regards: Konrad Materka -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#325782: bug is only solved for the root user
I also had the problem with designer not being able to create new forms, and a bunch of buttons missing icons (also with 4.0.1-2). Strange enough, after opening a .ui file I had created before (with 4.0.0 upstream), everything seems to work! cheers, Christian Henz -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#329381: kde: zero delay for keyboard repeat after upgrade to 3.4.2
Package: kde Version: 5:45 Severity: normal After upgrading KDE from 3.3.2 to 3.4.2, I found that as I was typing, many of my characters were doubled. When I got annoyed enough, I checked the KDE Control Center for the repeat delay; it was set to something like 660ms -- which I suppose is the default, but the actual delay was zero. After I changed it -- first to 1000, then back to 660 -- the problem disappeared. (Not sure if this is important, but i had played a little -- not writing texts of any considerable length -- before noticing this; at the time I noticed it, I was typing in Hebrew, using the il keyboard mapping). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages kde depends on: ii kde-amusements5:45 the K Desktop Environment games an ii kde-core 5:45 the K Desktop Environment core mod ii kdeaddons 4:3.4.2-2 add-on plugins and applets provide ii kdeadmin 4:3.4.2-1 system adminstration tools from th ii kdeartwork4:3.4.2-1 themes, styles and more from the o ii kdegraphics 4:3.4.2-2 graphics apps from the official KD ii kdemultimedia 4:3.4.2-2 multimedia apps from the official ii kdenetwork4:3.4.2-2 network-related apps from the offi ii kdepim4:3.4.2-1 KDE Personal Information Managemen ii kdeutils 4:3.4.2-3 general purpose utilities from the ii kdewebdev 4:3.4.2-1 web development apps from the offi kde recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
