Bug#321399: kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins: still can't access id tags

2006-01-05 Thread Christopher J Peikert
Package: kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins
Version: 4:3.4.3-5
Followup-For: Bug #321399

I also can't access id3 tags using these plugins. This is most
apparent when browsing files in konqueror, or trying to use the id
tags in krename. I haven't installed all of kdemultimedia; just a few
packages here and there. (Though I can't see why this fact would
matter at all.)

Bug#346165: Missing man pages for kwin kwin_killer_helper kompmgr kwin_rules_dialog

2006-01-05 Thread Karsten M. Self
Package: kwin
Version: 4:3.4.3-3
Severity: normal

The following executables in the kwin package lack manual pages.

kwin kwin_killer_helper kompmgr kwin_rules_dialog

These are required by section 12.1 of Debian policy for each program,
utility, and function. A placeholder manpage (man 7 undocumented)
should be provided until a proper manpage is created.

Does the new version, 4.1.0, which just hit unstable today, look better
to you?

Bug#346029: libqt3-mt: Deadkeys don't work with Qt-based applications and cz keyboard

2006-01-05 Thread Marek Schmidt
Hello,

I have exactly the same problem. (after upgrading xorg to 6.9.0)

Running a qt app with different locale than "cs_CZ.UTF-8" seems to work
correctly, though... I have tested "cs_CZ" (iso-8859-2), "en_US.UTF-8" and
"pl_PL.UTF-8" and these worked well with czech keyboard layout.

Bug#275098: konqueror: Bug caused by broken mime information

2006-01-05 Thread Johannes Rohr
Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.4.3-3
Followup-For: Bug #275098

Hi, I've spotted the same issue. After some guessing I finally found out
that Konqueror complained about an unknown mime type x-crossover-jpeg.
This was caused by crossover office, which had created this mime type
for QuickTime. Solution: In CrossOver office setup, remove the
association with jpeg etc. which has been created during installation of
QuickTime.

Maybe there are other third party apps that cause similar issues with
KDE.

Thanks,

Johannes
