Bug#349291: kmtrace: Can't open ktrace.out

2006-01-21 Thread Jason Dorje Short
Package: kmtrace
Version: 4:3.5.0-3
Severity: important

Every time I run kmtrace (with or without parameters) it exits immediately
with the message "Can't open ktrace.out".

I don't know why this happens but at the very least it is misleading. I
certainly _can_ `touch ktrace.out` in the current directory. Or is the
file supposed to go somewhere else? How do I find out what the problem is?

Does upgrading libmysqlclient15 to 5.0.18-7 fix it? I think this might
be related to this bug:

Bug#345325: SOLVED: configuration error, but KDE should handle it

2006-01-21 Thread Adam Porter
I discovered that the default resource in Korganizer was set to be an
iCalendar file instead of a vCalendar file. But apparently, since it was
already a vCal file, Korganizer couldn't handle that it was set to use it as
an iCal file. When I changed it back to vCal, it was fine.

Well, it's good that it didn't break the file, but it should be able to figure
out that it's trying to use the wrong format, and it should ask you to fix
it, instead of saying, "Sorry, can't do what you want for some unknown
reason."
