Bug#347369: kmail shows strange characters overlayed over email text
Although, on further reflection, this seems unuseable on some occasions. And there are more visual problems. The positioning of the quick-access-key-characters makes it hard to know which key has which link associated. And if the mouse is moved to the characters, but already reaches a link, the link the mouse points to is shown in the statusline, but the character may belong to another link. Another visual problem: While doing a screenshot, some of the characters have lost their background - see the attached picture. Regards, Phil Bildschirmphoto3.png Description: PNG image
Bug#347369: Acknowledgement (kmail shows strange characters overlayed over email text)
Another information: with 3.5.1 it seems to be mostly solved, apart from the aesthetical markup-problem. The characters are the quick-access keys (konqueror shows this help in the status line); and with 3.5.1 they no longer appear somewhere in the document, but only on links (eg. email addresses). The minor issue is the visibility when marking text while showing these quick-access keys. Thank you. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#350589: Superkaramba shouldn't depend on XMMS

Certainly. After 'apt-get source kdeutils', sdd: DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS := --without-xmms to debian/rules. You can then remove xmms-dev from the Build-Depends in debian/control, and build the package, though first you might want to edit debian/changelog so that your locally rebuilt package has a higher version number that the Sid package, or do something like: echo "superkaramba hold" | dpkg --set-selections to prevent the package from being upgraded automatically by apt-get, aptitude, etc. Cheers, Christopher Martin pgpkOAyaDwCi1.pgp Description: PGP signature

kdewebdev override disparity

Bug#350589: Superkaramba shouldn't depend on XMMS

Unfortunately, superkaramba is comprised of only one binary, /usr/bin/superkaramba, so we can't split out XMMS support into a separate package (if it were possible, we'd definitely do it). For now, keeping XMMS support is probably a good idea, since XMMS is still a popular package. But it is declining in popularity, and perhaps when KDE4 is uploaded post-Etch we'll finally disable it. Until then, you'll have to have XMMS if you want superkaramba. But XMMS and gtk-1.2 don't take up much space, and the Menu Editor can be used to remove XMMS from the KDE menu, so it shouldn't really be a problem for users. Bug#351063: keduca: shows questions and answers before the counter starts
Package: keduca Version: 4:3.5.0-4 Severity: normal With keduca, you have the possibility of defining a time-span in which the user is supposed to answer the question. Problem: there is a dialog box that shows up, block the time count, and yet let you read the question and answer, making the count virtually purposeless. The dialog box itself seems to be more an annoyance than a feature, because it implies that for each question, you get one more click. On a set of 100 questions, instead of 200 clicks, on reach 300 clicks... We should at least be able to set off this dialog. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686-smp Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages keduca depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.1-1 core libraries for all KDE applica ii libacl1 2.2.34-1Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 2.4.25-1Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio21.7-3 The Network Audio System (NAS). Bug#351055: keduca: slow as hell between each question when "randomize answers" is activated
Package: keduca Version: 4:3.5.0-4 Severity: normal Keduca is slow as hell between each question when "randomize answers" is activated.
