Bug#369202: randomly activated 'access keys'

2006-05-28 Thread Ulrich Eckhardt
Package: konqueror
Version: 3.5.2-2+b1

Hi!

Since some time, konqueror randomly activates its access keys, which is a bit
annoying, since the displayed tags often hide parts that you are currently
reading. Now, this is _nothing_ compared to how annoying this is when you are
currently filling in a web form: I just had to retype lots of text and
several times click back because while typing a text it suddenly activated
the access keys that took me completely elsewhere.

I also can't find a flag in the configuration to deactivate that broken
feature completely, which surprised me a lot, am I missing something?

FYI: I'm running konqueror with fluxbox as WM on a Xinerama desktop, in case
that matters.

Uli

Hi,

the current version of arts has unsatisfied Build-Depends under kfreebsd-amd64
port.

Your package belong between packages which already have specific
Build-Depends for kfreebsd-i386, the same are also needed for kfreebsd-amd64.

Please, could you support kfreebsd-amd64 similarly
as kfreebsd-i386 in Build-Depends and in debian/rules.

Usually it means excluding linux specific packages, like:
libasound2-dev [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386]
libselinux1-dev [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386]
libcap-dev [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386]

Thanks for your cooperation.

the hotkey that activates accesskeys is 'control' just hit it a second

I'm not sure there is a bug here, what would you want to see fixed ?

 so probably a libasound2 bug.

I tried it: It still doesn´t work so good. E.g. xmms does not work with

Then I tried to to:

Hi, Pierre and Ulrich.

I've seen the access keys get activated without any intervention sometimes,
so I guess there's a bug indeed, but it isn't easily reproducible.

Hello Debian KDE team,

There is a circular dependency between kdelibs4 and kdelibs-bin which
cause aptitude dist-upgrade to try to remove the whole KDE set of
packages during some woody to sarge upgrade. See Bug #310490.

Since kdelibs4c2a version 4:3.5.1-4 konqueror crashes sometimes when closing a
page (either by following a link in the same window, closing a tab, ...).

This site crashes always for me: http://www.linuxtoday.com/

Downgrading to version 4:3.5.1-3 fixes the problem.

Bug#369292: artsd crashes when playing any sound

2006-05-28 Thread Death Master
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Package: arts
Version: 1.5.3-1
Severity: Grave
Justification: No sound in KDE

Hi,

I'm Ramiro Cano.

Since the last dist-upgrade, artsd always crashes when trying to play
any sound. So, it happens that it begins to open KDE crash windows until
I close the session. The next time I open, it offers me the option of
disable the arts sound system and I only get the error once, I suppose
that when the KDE start sound should be.

The backtrace of the error is:

AFAICT it's not a problem of ALSA sound system, because I tried to play

Bug#369291: libqt3-mt: xim patch crashes katepart inside kdevelop

2006-05-28 Thread Andreas Pakulat
Package: libqt3-mt
Version: 3:3.3.6-2
Severity: important

Hi,

recently I reported a crash of kdevelop to it's -devel mailing list (I'm
using their svn version) and it was pointed out to me that the reason
for the crash is actually a patched Qt3. Thus I'm reporting this here,
the link to the bugreport in KDE's bugzilla is:

 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89278

The backtrace of kdevelop crashing is attached. I tried to change the
XIM input method with qtconfig from on the spot to root but it didn't
help. I first couldn't reproduce this anymore after playing around a
bit, but today it happened again and thus I'm reporting this. The
mailing list thread I opened can be read from here:

http://lists.kde.org/?l=kdevelop-develm=114878188129406w=2

I'll try to reproduce this with Debian's kdevelop tomorrow.

Andreas

Bug#369292: artsd crashes when playing any sound

2006-05-28 Thread Death Master
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi again.

I have to apologize. I just dist-upgraded and I realized that this bug
is in fact a bug of the ALSA system, specifically from libasound.

With the upgrade, the bug changed but it's still there. Anyway, I know
now that arts is NOT the problem.

You can close this thread.

Sorry again for the disturbance, I'm ashamed.

Thanks for all.

Ramiro Cano.

AFAICT it's not a problem of ALSA sound system, because I tried to play
a sound with mpg123 in a terminal session and it sounds correctly.

Bug#368051: Supporting report

2006-05-28 Thread Carl Fink
I'm also seeing artsd consuming all my CPU. Worse yet, I can't stop it. If
I kill the process it just respawns. Since artsd isn't mentioned in
inittab, I don't know how to prevent it from constantly respawning. I
closed every KDE program and killed kdeinit, but artsd keeps respawning.

This is Linux. I should not have to reboot to stop a stupid program from
running. The only thing I can think here is to completely remove all KDE
programs from my system. Suggestions? Can I help you debug in any way?

Running Etch on a K7 (Sempron) machine, and glad to send more details if
they'll be useful.
