Bug#369202: randomly activated 'access keys'
Package: konqueror Version: 3.5.2-2+b1 Hi! Since some time, konqueror randomly activates its access keys, which is a bit annoying, since the displayed tags often hide parts that you are currently reading. Now, this is _nothing_ compared to how annoying this is when you are currently filling in a web form: I just had to retype lots of text and several times click back because while typing a text it suddenly activated the access keys that took me completely elsewhere. I also can't find a flag in the configuration to deactivate that broken feature completely, which surprised me a lot, am I missing something? FYI: I'm running konqueror with fluxbox as WM on a Xinerama desktop, in case that matters. Uli -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: arts Version: 1.5.2-1 Hi, the current version of arts has unsatisfied Build-Depends under kfreebsd-amd64 port. Hi, Pierre and Ulrich. I've seen the access keys get activated without any intervention sometimes, so I guess there's a bug indeed, but it isn't easily reproducible. There existed a (necessary) circular dependency between kdelibs-bin and kdelibs4c2a. kdelibs-bin is linked to kdelibs4c2a. Also, every KDE application needs the binaries in kdelibs-bin to function properly, yet virtually none depend on it. So to break the circular dependency by removing kdelibs4c2a's dependency on kdelibs-bin would require that all KDE packages be re-uploaded. And every KDE-using system would still need both kdelibs-bin and kdelibs4c2a. . So we'll simply merge them. The general practice of separating libraries and programs makes no sense for kdelibs, given the close ties between the two. Multiple versions of the KDE libraries can't be installed side-by-side in any case. . For the rare package which depends on kdelibs-bin, kdelibs4c2a will Provides: kdelibs-bin. . The removal of the circular dependency should make future transitions easier for users, avoiding difficulties such as those encountered during Woody to Sarge upgrades. Bug#369291: libqt3-mt: xim patch crashes katepart inside kdevelop
Package: libqt3-mt Version: 3:3.3.6-2 Severity: important Hi, recently I reported a crash of kdevelop to it's -devel mailing list (I'm using their svn version) and it was pointed out to me that the reason for the crash is actually a patched Qt3. Thus I'm reporting this here, the link to the bugreport in KDE's bugzilla is: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89278 The backtrace of kdevelop crashing is attached. I tried to change the XIM input method with qtconfig from on the spot to root but it didn't help. I first couldn't reproduce this anymore after playing around a bit, but today it happened again and thus I'm reporting this. The mailing list thread I opened can be read from here: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kdevelop-develm=114878188129406w=2 I'll try to reproduce this with Debian's kdevelop tomorrow. Bug#368051: Supporting report
I'm also seeing artsd consuming all my CPU. Worse yet, I can't stop it. If I kill the process it just respawns. Since artsd isn't mentioned in inittab, I don't know how to prevent it from constantly respawning. I closed every KDE program and killed kdeinit, but artsd keeps respawning. This is Linux. I should not have to reboot to stop a stupid program from running. The only thing I can think here is to completely remove all KDE programs from my system. Suggestions? Can I help you debug in any way? Running Etch on a K7 (Sempron) machine, and glad to send more details if they'll be useful. -- Carl Fink [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you attempt to fix something that isn't broken, it will be. -Bruce Tognazzini -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
