Package: libwv2-dev
Version: 0.2.2-5+b1
Severity: normal

libwv2-dev includes this file:
/usr/lib/libwv2.la
which refers to /usr/lib/libgsf-1.la from the libgsf-1-dev package which I
maintain.

While these libtool helper files may be useful on some Un*x systems, they
are not particularly useful on GNU/Linux systems and may in fact complicate
library transitions.

Please drop this .la files from this package. It should be safe to do so
as there are no other -dev packages that declare a dependency on this one.
Removing this .la files will bring me one step closer to being able to drop
/usr/lib/libgsf-la.la in turn.

Bug#350851: Further plans for possible data-loss bug in kmail

Poking around people on irc sometimes helps.

The new plan is that we all during this week try to reproduce this bug and
create a step-by-step-manual to reproduce it, so the kmail developres can fix
it.

Remember that this is a dataloss bug, so have your backups ready (or use your
spam folder for testing)

Happy testing - and let us get this bug squashed.

Bug#374332: Ships .la file

2006-06-18 Thread J.H.M. Dassen (Ray)

Package: kicker
Version: 4:3.5.1-1
Severity: normal

Icons from programs embedded in kicker (in my case klaptopdaemon and
knemo, others have reported that the language icon does the same) have
the tendency to 'jump' to the top of the screen instead of staying
embedded in kicker.

The area they should take up isn't given back tho, it seems like the
icons are incorrectly positioned and drawed, outside of the kicker area.
