Bug#377503: kdegraphics-kfile-plugins: JPEG orientation error

2006-07-09 Thread Torquil Macdonald Sørensen
Package: kdegraphics-kfile-plugins
Version: 4:3.5.3-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I after having used 'jhead -autorot' on a JPEG image, the image is
no longer correctly displayed in 'kuickshow'. In addition, the "Meta Info" tab
on the file Properties shows "Orientation: 8", while e.g. the
jpegexiforient program shows that the orientation in '1', not 8. The
image is displayed correctly in gqview, which also says that the
orientation is "top left", which corresponds to '1'. I am not using the
EXIF autorotation in gqview. The image is also correctly displayed
within konqueror using the "Embeddable Image Viewer" on the context menu.

Best regards,
TMS

When inserting text using the &#nnn; notation, I noticed that character
"U+0159 latin small letter r with caron" was missing from the list,
which is used in Czech e.g. for the composer Antonín
Dvořák.

Please provide a patch of the file /usr/share/apps/quanta/chars and send it
into the KDE bug tracking system.

Thanks,
Olivier
