Bug#437956: please mention that akregator supports Atom in description

2007-08-14 Thread Philippe Cloutier

Package: akregator
Version: 4:3.5.5.dfsg.1-6
Severity: normal

Although akregator supports Atom feeds, the short description suggests
that it doesn't ("RSS feed aggregator for KDE").
Changing that to "KDE feed aggregator" or "KDE RSS and Atom feed
aggregator" should solve this issue.

Bug#437935: kmail: blocks at startup

Kopete seems to ignore my proxy settings in the Jabber setup window. I
want to connect through a SOCKS5 server that requires authentication
(and I have a weird password with characters such as | or {).

When I try to connect the connection fail after a few minutes. If I
run an "lsof | grep IPv4" in a terminal while it tries to connect, I
get:

kopete17279 clavei_t 13r IPv43126088
 TCP marvejols.lrde.epita.fr:54052->jabber.com:5223 (SYN_SENT)

whereas the other protocols seems to pass through the socks server:

kopete17279 clavei_t 14u IPv43121791
  TCP marvejols.lrde.epita.fr:53990->socks.epita.fr:socks (ESTABLISHED)

So Kopete seems to ignore my connection settings.

I can't reproduce the problem in a recent version of the package. So
I assume the problem has been fixed. Thanks. Closing this bug.

Kopete works perfectly on a direct connection. But when using a SOCKS
proxy (dante-client/server combination here) set up in the KDE command
center Kopete just crashes when connecting to either ICQ or Jabber.
I haven't tried other services.

Lurking on the interface I can see that no connection to the SOCKS
proxy server is even tried. Using other proxy aware applications like
Gaim works perfectly through dante. So it appears that the SOCKS
connection is not even tried.

This is the only debug information I could gather:

Package: kopete
Version: 3.3.0-2

Kopete seems not to use the configured socks settings.
Works fine in KDE 3.2.3 + koepte 3.2.3, but not in KDE 3.3.0.
Neither ICQ nor AIM nor Jabber works using socks.

Starts working if kopete is launced with the socks wrapper
"runsocks kopete".

Installed socks version:
ii libsocks4 4.3.beta2-13
ii socks4-clients 4.3.beta2-13

Konqueror works fine with socks (http proxy disabled), so I guess
this is a Kopete problem.

I can't reproduce the problem in a recent version of the package. So
I assume the problem has been fixed. Thanks. Closing this bug.

Fwd: Debian/(K)Ubuntu Open Office Instant Messenger

2007-08-14 Thread thomasasta
There is a first package out of the open office Instant Messenger for
Kubuntu/debian..

please test it... Thanks

>Hi all,

build a debian Package for Kubuntu 7.04. Because I infrequently build Packages
you should use it with caution. I test it on my own system without Problems.

Btw: I like to know which dependencies retroshare has to other Packages, so I
could register it in the Package.

Please Report if the package runs, or fails.

Bug#436560: fluxbox: Double entry in KDM menu

2007-08-14 Thread Chris Mortimore
Just to add to the info, this occurs on both i386 and amd64.

I also discovered that this does NOT occur with ratpoison, it only appeared
once in my KDM menu.

Cheers,

Chris
