Bug#432598: Font sizes are not right when first starting kdm
As it turns out, this issue is related to X choosing the wrong mode when first starting (kdm). Subsequently, even after setting the correct mode (via xrandr), font sizes are not what they are supposed to be. I now force the correct mode with a Modeline and PreferredMode in xorg.conf, which seems to fix the font problems as well. cheers, Christian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#444284: kdelibs: Please explicitly link against libthai
Package: kdelibs Version: 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-7 Severity: wishlist -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Upstream kdelibs has provided two methods for using libthai to analyze Thai word boundaries in KHTML: by explicit linking or by dynamic loading. So far, libthai has secretly served Thai KDE users through the latter method. However, this requires users to install libthai-dev, although they don't want to compile any program against libthai and its dependency. This is because the KLibLoader used to dlopen() it requires *.la file. And this has just been removed in the lastest libthai, as it's not so desirable to ship it, and none of libthai's reverse dependencies require it any more. To continue serving Thai KDE users, I think it should be explicitly linked, by having kdelibs build-depend on libthai-dev, and passing - --with-libthai=yes it its configure options. - -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=th_TH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=th_TH.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFG+7yHqgzR7tCLR/4RArTTAJ0ZVLNQ39vm3ZOq7PwAaesnSBOhuQCglQBs itF0hLCUwuf3IUZ3zD5D+Is= =0cJy -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#443865: kwin: UTF-8 is not supported in window titles
Dear Sune: How do I change my environment? dpkg-reconfigure locale? Probably, yes. You might also want to want to look in kde control panel. No, dpkg-reconfigure locale gives an error message and the kde control panel can only set language and region but not character encoding. - oh and you also need to install the correct fonts to get the glyphs shown. Why aren't they installed by default? Which packages do you recommend? because they are not needed for most people? Come on, we live in a global village now and hard disk space isn't scarce any more. Bug#440012: konsole no longer plays with SCIM
On 星期三 29 八月 2007, Clayton wrote: Well, no, it was not necessary before. Nor do I see it in the list of scim recommends or suggests. However, after I install scim-qtimm SCIM starts working with konsole again. May I suggest this bug report be used to add scim-qtimm to the scim recommends list right beside scim-gtk2-immodule? So, you'd file a bug on SCIM for this. :) Cheers Zhengpeng Hou signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
