Bug#444264: konqueror: Find dialog does not work on some web pages

2007-09-27 Thread Lucio Crusca
Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6
Severity: normal

The Find text dialog does not find any text in the page

http://www.linuxforums.org/misc/understanding_proc:_part_2.html

and probably in other similar pages too. Steps to reproduce:
1. head konqueror to the page specified above
2. hit CTRL-F, the Find text dialog pops up
3. type device without quotes or any other word you see in the text of
that page
4. hit return

Bug#432598: Font sizes are not right when first starting kdm

2007-09-27 Thread Christian Henz
As it turns out, this issue is related to X choosing the wrong mode
when first starting (kdm). Subsequently, even after setting the correct
mode (via xrandr), font sizes are not what they are supposed to be.

I now force the correct mode with a Modeline and PreferredMode in
xorg.conf, which seems to fix the font problems as well.

cheers,
Christian

Bug#444284: kdelibs: Please explicitly link against libthai

2007-09-27 Thread Theppitak Karoonboonyanan
Package: kdelibs
Version: 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-7
Severity: wishlist

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Upstream kdelibs has provided two methods for using libthai to analyze
Thai word boundaries in KHTML: by explicit linking or by dynamic loading.

So far, libthai has secretly served Thai KDE users through the latter
method. However, this requires users to install libthai-dev, although
they don't want to compile any program against libthai and its
dependency. This is because the KLibLoader used to dlopen() it requires
*.la file. And this has just been removed in the lastest libthai, as it's
not so desirable to ship it, and none of libthai's reverse dependencies
require it any more.

To continue serving Thai KDE users, I think it should be explicitly
linked, by having kdelibs build-depend on libthai-dev, and passing
- --with-libthai=yes it its configure options.

Bug#443865: kwin: UTF-8 is not supported in window titles

2007-09-27 Thread Roman Czyborra

Dear Sune:

Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15)

This doesn't look like utf8 at all. especially the iso-8859-15 part.
If you change your environment to utf8, I am quite sure that it will work.

How do I change my environment? dpkg-reconfigure locale?

- oh and you also need to install the correct fonts to get the glyphs shown.

Why aren't they installed by default? Which packages do you recommend?

Bug#443865: kwin: UTF-8 is not supported in window titles

2007-09-27 Thread Roman Czyborra

Dear Sune:

How do I change my environment? dpkg-reconfigure locale?

Probably, yes. You might also want to want to look in kde control panel.

No, dpkg-reconfigure locale gives an error message and the kde control
panel can only set language and region but not character encoding.

- oh and you also need to install the correct fonts to get the glyphs
shown.

Why aren't they installed by default? Which packages do you recommend?

because they are not needed for most people?

Come on, we live in a global village now and hard disk space isn't scarce
any more. Debian should be user-friendly.

I have been told that the dejavu fonts might have the correct glyphs, where
bitstream vera only has latin.
ttf-bitstream-vera - The Bitstream Vera family of free TrueType fonts
ttf-dejavu - Vera font family derivate with additional characters

I had dejavu already installed and have added bitstream vera now but the
replacement glyphs for missing characters still show.

So the bug is still open.

Then please take it up on debian-user why dpkg-reconfigure locales fails.

Please take it up on a localized list how you find the right fonts. I
currently see quite some fonts when searhing for cyrillic fonts in apt.

I can do no more.

First of all from the panel inside Excel 4.2.3 you neither should load from
the case of the icon to a jumper over the connection over the processor, nor
need to debug the tool for unlinking a BIOS over a DLL cache.

Man, how to send the pointer?

First from DOS 8.7 you must insert a graphic tool of the mouse but then you
neither can ever overclock the URL, nor can unlink a utility but therefore
you either must ping a provider over the wordprocessor on a SCSI submenu to a
SIMM on a Fast forward, or should cancel the hardware to doubleclick the
laser ISDN prompt.

Qt4 interface to RDF storage
Soprano (formally known as QRDF) is a library which provides a nice Qt4
interface to RDF storage solutions. It has a modular structure which
allows to replace the actual RDF storage implementation used.
 .
Currently Soprano implements one fully functional backend which is based
on librdf, the Redland RDF Application Framework.
 .
This package contains the runtime library files needed to run software
 using libsoprano.

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.

You may have gotten the distribution wrong. You'll get warnings above
if files already exist in other distributions.

Bug#440012: konsole no longer plays with SCIM

Well, no, it was not necessary before. Nor do I see it in the list

However, after I install scim-qtimm SCIM starts working with konsole
again. May I suggest this bug report be used to add scim-qtimm to the
scim recommends list right beside scim-gtk2-immodule?

So, you'd file a bug on SCIM for this. :)
Cheers

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kde: Depends: kdeutils (= 4:3.4.3) but it is not going to be installed
