Bug#453055: konqueror: Crash loading URL

2007-11-26 Thread Karsten M. Self
Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal

Konqueror crashes loading the following URL:

http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/chuck-jaffe-even-average-homeowners/story.aspx?guid=%7B8FE4C101%2D1774%2D4AAA%2D87F6%2DCD7DC002%7D&ref=patrick.net

Behavior _is_ reproducible.

Browser crashes whether the page is loaded from history, pasted to the
navigation bar, pasted to the browser pane (middle-click) itself, or
loaded at commandline, e.g.:

konqueror
'http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/chuck-jaffe-even-average-homeowners/story.aspx?guid=%7B8FE4C101%2D1774%2D4AAA%2D87F6%2DCD7DC002%7D&ref=patrick.net'

Installing qt-x11-free-dbg kdelibs-dbg kdebase-dbg to produce backtrace
/ debug info. However no backtrace is being generated. Information on
how to properly do this is appreciated.

Final 500 lines of strace output is attached.

Command invoked:

strace konqueror \

 \
2>/tmp/konqueror.strace

Peace.

Bug#452996: kghostview: Please depend on ghostcript with X support

2007-11-26 Thread Gábor Braun
Package: kghostview
Version: 4:3.5.7-4+lenny1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Kghostview is unable to display any files with
the package ghostscript and without the ghostscript-x package.

In my opinion, this bug is similar to 448679 of gv,
which is cloned as 448702 of ghostscript.

You may fix this bug by updating the dependency of the package
in a similar manner as gv does, e.g. depending on

ghostscript-x | gs-gpl (< 8.61) | gs-afpl (< 8.61) | gs-esp (< 8.61)

instead if gs
