Package: libqt4-dev
Version: 4.3.3-2
Severity: normal

since there are currently security issues with a couple of the mysql
packages in sid, i would like to remove them. however, doing so would
remove libqt4-dev as well since there is a dependency on libqt4-sql
(which depends on the mysql packages).

if the dependency on libqt4-sql were changed to a recommends, this
wouldn't be a problem. i am not familiar with the libqt4-dev package,
so i don't know what kind of effect that has. but it seems like the mysql
and qt4 development stuff are or should be separate/separable things.

thanks for all the hard work.

While pkg-config files are provided for most Qt components, there is not
one for QtAssistantClient . This prevents some apps that locate Qt using

Hi.

I wonder if libqt4-dev really needs to depend on libqt4-sql. I just want to
develop some QT apps and because of libqt4-sql I need about 40MB of
additional harddisk space. I guess you don't need any SQL bindings for
developing simple QT programs, so why is this package required?

qbrew is one of my test cases for fixing this - and currently it builds with
my -4 package.

During my work on this I discovered a bug in the qmake program, which
prevented me from reach tonights dinstall run

Thanks a lot for your research and for hunting down this bug. I'll wait

Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.7-1
Severity: critical

Hi,
I'm reporting a bug I've encountered in kmail 1.9.7 (3.5.7). This bug
is
found in the kde bugzilla.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140660
Basically, KMail crashes (SIGSEGV) when applying filters. According to
upstream there is sometimes data loss. (I haven't noticed yet.)
KMail 1.9.5 (3.5.5) doesn't have this problem for me. (I'll have to
download
the .deb for this incase it disappears from the debian mirrors.)

Thanks for your work,
C.
