Bug#488994: okular: Just installing Okular makes it produce "Could not find the Okular component."
Package: okular Version: 4:4.0.84-1 Severity: important I have about half of Debian's KDE4 installed on the system (still depending on some KDE3 applications), and I couldn't upgrade everything when I installed Okular today (GPRS and big upgrades are a big no-no). However Okular didn't have strict dependencies on 4.0.84 KDE so I installed it as is (installed just okular and libokular1). When I start Okular from the console I get: "Could not find the Okular component." and a blank window titled Okular without any widgets, about 150x100 in size. Correct, that does not help. This setting only changes the User-Agent string (it adds the country code to it) but not the Accept-Language string that konqueror sends to the web server. Here are my results for the Accept-Language string on http://kluge.in-chemnitz.de/tools/browser.php: Iceweasel: de-de,de;q=0.8,en-us;q=0.5,en;q=0.3 Konqueror without setting in kio_httprc: de, en Konqueror with setting in kio_httprc: de;q=1.0, en;q=0.5 So by default konqueror does not prefer German over English in a German locale, and the web server is then free to send the document in either language. BTW, you already had reported it as #401019. The workaround is to edit ~/.kde/share/config/kio_httprc and add a line with Languages=de;q=1.0, en;q=0.5 or similar to give German a higher priority than English. Not exactly userfriendly, and the preferred language should really be taken from the locale settings. :-/ Sven -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Firstly a hidden requirement to add users to a particular group merely to use a normal desktop system is not reasonable behavior. Secondly part of the bug report is that the error message is completely incomprehensible. I don't see any indication that this has been improved. Therefore I'm reopening this bug report. ttfn/rjk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#488926: Missing AUTHORS, README, ChangeLog, etc at /usr/share/doc/kopete
Package: kopete Version: 4:3.5.8-1 Severity: minor kdenetwork source package has several imprortant text files that IMHO should be copied into /usr/share/doc/kopete (AUTHORS, README, ChangeLog, KABC_INTEG_NOTES, may be TODO), but /usr/share/doc/kopete has only Debian changelog and copyright notes. I think it should be fixed... -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kopete depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4 core libraries and binaries for al ii libacl12.2.45-1 Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.20-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 1:2.4.41-1Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio2 1.9.1-2 Network Audio System - shared libr ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfam02.7.0-13.2Client library to control the FAM ii libfontconfig1 2.5.0-2 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.5-1+b1FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgadu3 1:1.8.0+r592-1Gadu-Gadu protocol library - runti ii libgcc11:4.3.0-1 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.1-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgsmme1c2a 1.10-12 GSM mobile phone access library ii libice62:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libidn11 1.4-1 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libmeanwhile1 1.0.2-3 open implementation of the Lotus S ii libpcre3 7.4-1 Perl 5 Compatible Regular Expressi ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-1 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.3.0-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor11:1.1.9-1 X cursor management library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft22.1.12-2 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxi6 2:1.1.3-1 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.2-1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxml22.6.32.dfsg-2 GNOME XML library ii libxrandr2 2:1.2.2-1 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender11:0.9.4-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii libxslt1.1 1.1.24-1 XSLT processing library - runtime ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages kopete recommends: pn qca-tls(no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
