Bug#525940: dolphin: Problem copying files/directories to remote computer using fish:/
Package: dolphin Version: 4:4.2.2-1 Severity: normal There is some problem with copying files or directories to a remote computer using fish:/. When you go to your home directory on the remote computer using fish://u...@remote-server and then try to paste whatever file or directory you had clicked on to copy, an error message pops up stating "Could not {create folder, copy file} to fish://u...@remote-server/{directory,file}." Bug#525669: Font rendering in Qt 4.5
Hi! Thanks for your quick response! Am Sonntag, 26. April 2009 schrieb Fathi Boudra: > Some changes affects Qt 4.5.1 font rendering: > (...) Yes, thanks. I had a look into QTs changelog before posting, but could not pinpoint the change which caused the change. It doesn't really matter anyway, as the web link you posted and the original page I mentioned in my bug report show solutions which solve the display problem. It took some time to google the solution, however, and I guess many users - not knowing anything about libfontconfig or even its existence - will not be able to use the information on these pages at all. That's why I suggested to add an explanation and some easily activatable config file snipped to the QT package's docs, and maybe already install an appropriate file in "/etc/fonts/conf.avail/" with an explanation in the README of how to link it to "conf.d". I'd even vote for this configuration to be default, as I wrote, but I understand that there might be people who actually prefer the significantly more blurred non-legacy font rendering. (Though I wonder why, as I do not see the point in "smoothing" exactly vertical or horizontal lines which will never look yagged by definition...) Hi, I've found that this bug is related to kdelibs. Jonathan Riddell from Ubuntu team already submitted a patch for this. It eliminates 2 bugs in KDE: 1) Kickoff bug described above 2) Not allowing showing plasma popups over screensaver First bug is already fixed upstream i think, I don't know about the second bug. Patch is available here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-members/kdelibs/ubuntu/revision/46 Is it possible for Debian QT/KDE developers to apply this patch, or we have to wait for KDE 4.2.3 ? kdevelop override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): kdevelop-data_3.9.92-1_all.deb: package says section is devel, override says kde. kdevelop-dev_3.9.92-1_amd64.deb: package says section is devel, override says kde. kdevelop_3.9.92-1_amd64.deb: package says section is devel, override says kde. Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell, httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video, xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package at the next upload. Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we won't be able to deal with your mail due to missing information. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.] -- Debian distribution maintenance software (This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing ftpmas...@debian.org) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#505153: Kmail corrupts attachments
I am getting corrupt image attachments, but with multiple attachments, not all of which are corrupted. It seems to be the first few in the list. All are duplicated as is the body part, and the "To:" entry. In the example I received today, we have: Body part First image 50 KB Body part First image 1.3 MB Second image27.8 KB Second image1.1 MB Third image 107.8 KB Third image 1.2 MB Fourth image732.5 KB Fifth image 667.1 KB Fourth image732.5 KB (out of sequence) - and so on, with the sequence broken up. Only the first and second images have small and large versions. all totally corrupt and unreadable by anything. Of the subsequent images, a majority have one version which is OK, the other being incomplete, or in two cases garbled with other images. Curiously the Konqueror thumbnails on all but the first two image sets show a complete image for both versions. This email contains the header: X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5 The headers are also duplicated. The duplication part of this is not to do with Microsoft, as the email I got from subscribing to this bug is also duplicated. Though not the "To:" line. The "Subscription successful" email was not duplicated. I suspect Klamav, as I do not remember having problems until I installed it. I'll try uninstalling it, as there seems to be no way of turning it off, and see how we go. Bug#525794: /usr/bin/kwin: Windowbehaviour in a twinview multi-monitor setup bad and not configurable
Package: kde-window-manager Version: 4:4.2.2-2 Severity: important File: /usr/bin/kwin I have a dual monitor twinview configuration. What worked good in KDE 3.5.9 is now broken: 1. It's not possible to tell KDE (4.2.2) to maximize a window only to the size of one monitor instead of maximizing it over the whole desktop (two monitors). 2. It's not possible to tell KDE 4.2.2 to open a window on a specific monitor (in my case, the right one). Others (users of the debian NG) report, that their windows maximize always to one monitor and they cannot find a setting to tell KDE to maximize over two monitor. They use an older Qt-Version so this might be related. What works is, that I can tell KDE to use different background images. When configuring the login manager (system settings) both monitors are recognized and identified as '1' and '2'. In the display settings dialog, there's no sign that I use two monitors. Everything looks like I had one monitor with a setting of 2048x960 (just like pure xinerama). The button 'identify output' recognizes the whole desktop as one named 'default'. I made screenshots, that show the problem. They can be found here: http://81.169.152.37/screens/xinerama-1.jpeg http://81.169.152.37/screens/xinerama-2.jpeg http://81.169.152.37/screens/xinerama-3.jpeg http://81.169.152.37/screens/xinerama-4.jpeg Other window managers (I testet at least icewm) maximize the window to only one monitor using the same xorg.conf setting. My xorg.conf can be found here: http://81.169.152.37/screens/xorg.conf Thanks for reading.
