Bug#525954: kcron: missing binary to startup application

2009-04-28 Thread Emil Nowak
Package: kcron
Version: 4:4.2.2-1
Severity: important

The kcron doesn't have /usr/bin/kcron file neither /bin/kcron /usr/sbin/kcron
etc...
So it seems that there is no binary to lunch this application.
However the manual kcron (8) still says such binary exists and how to use it.

List of file in current kcron binary:

How might I do for booting with the jumper?

From the control panel inside AutoCAD XP you should unlink into the SIMM to a

Re: Bug in Kick Off

2009-04-28 Thread Fathi Boudra
Is it possible for Debian QT/KDE developers to apply this patch, or we have
to wait for KDE 4.2.3 ?

It will be fixed in next upload.
I don't know if it will be kdelibs 4.2.2-3 or 4.2.3-1.

cheers,

Fathi

Bug#525975: konqueror: Cannot verify SSL certificates as only the broken md5 digest is shown, must display SHA1 digest

2009-04-28 Thread Bernhard Reiter
Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6
Severity: important

As the md5 digest is broken enough [1],
to verify a certificate a different digest should be displayed.
Iceweasel also shows SHA1, this is what I think is best.

Needless to say: This is a security issue with konqueror.

How to see the problem:
a) Try to go to https://debian.org/ (and make sure that you have not
accepted the certifiacte or ca.debian.org before)
b) You get a question if you want to accept the certificate, press details.
c) The KDE-SSL-Information Konqueror window comes up.
Now you can only see the MD5-Digest.
Expectation: At least the SHA1-Digest should be shown in a detail.

Note: the dialog might come from a different KDE packages, but the security
problem comes up with konqueror being used as a webbrowser, thus I believe this
is the right package to report against first.

Bug#525990: webkit crash if gtk-qt-engine enabled and browsing flash web sites

2009-04-28 Thread Andrea Iacovitti
Package: libqt4-webkit
Version: 4.5.1-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Hi,
using arora compiled with flash support (that's with qt = 4.5 ) and browsing
web sites with flash widgets make arora crash if gtk-qt-engine enabled.
Recompiling qt4 with the attached patch solves the problem.
The patch simply unset GTK2_RC_FILES env variable in pluginview code forcing
use of standard default gtk theme.

My two cents.
Andrea.

Bug#526057: po2xml: endless loop on empty para tag

2009-04-28 Thread Frans Pop
Package: poxml
Version: 4:4.2.2-1
Severity: important
Forwarded: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=190974

If the source XML file contains an empty para tag, po2xml from KDE 4.2.2
will end up in an endless loop: the warning found empty tag para is
printed endlessly.

This is a regression as the version from KDE 3.5 handled that situation
correctly: it would print the warning once and continue to generate a
correct translated XML file.

Setting severity important as this breaks builds of Debian's Installation
Guide. Test case available in upstream BR.

Man, how to forward from the modem?

The point is that you should boot a login, in such way from the preferences
menu within ICQ 9000 you cannot reset a Fast provider, so that therefore you
either should digit from a 3X jumper, or have to rename the case of the
digital BIOS server on the monitor for receiving the gadget.
