Bug#530493: kdm: Enforces the use of Desktop Themes even when instructed not to do so

However, this happens even when one comments that line in kdmrc, which is probably not what's intended. I think this comes from the grep line being too simplistic. Hello, I had the same problems on a 64Bit Squeeze(mostly) system. I run kernel 2.6.29 and self-compiled drm.ko and radeon.ko to get EXA acceleration with my gpu. Since that moment it was not possible to reproduce any sound at all again, but the one used during the KDE (v4.2) session start. Just next, this notification came up: Phonon :KDE's Multimedias Library Audio playback HDA Intel (ALC880 Analog) does not work. Falling back to default. I checked the existing packages and realized that phonon-backend-xine was not installed so I tried with it, but that didn't solve the problem. Even changing the priority through System Settings-Multimedia-Backends no sound was played. Even if there is no such popup in KDE4 plasma shouldn't freeze. If I kill plasma, and restart it, and make sure no other app uses the removable drive, then unmounting it works. Steps to reproduce: 1. Plug in a USB drive 2. Click on 'devices recently plugged in' 3. Click on device, open with dolphin 4. close dolphin 5. from terminal cd to /media/usbdisk (or whatever the mountpoint is) 6. Click 'devices recently plugged in' 7. Click the eject button next to the device Expected results: Eject button dissapears, device unmounted, taskbar/menus usable Actual results: Plasma frozen, taskbar/menus not responding to clicks, have to kill plasma, and restart it It appears that plasma deadlocks, strace shows that it hangs on a futex call: This is bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187242 (Fixed).
