Subject: krita: doesn't support JPEG
Package: krita
Version: 1:1.6.3-8
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave

Seems like Krita 1.6.3-8 lost the JPEG support. It doesn't open or save
JPEG files, and doesn't have JPEG files in the list of supported
formats.
I've noticed that among the dependencies of krita, there is no more
dependencies to libbz2-1.0, libexif12, libfreetype6, libgraphicsmagick1,
libjasper1, libjpeg62, libxml2 (which seem to be in the dependencies
list for the previous version), and maybe to several other libraries -
may it be related?

(PS Sorry for probably misformatted bug report - the station running
Krita cannot post emails directly).

If you are using KDE 4:
Pick up koffice 2 for experimental. Koffice 2 as a whole still has to
mature but krita is one of the most polished programs of the suite.

If you are using KDE 3.
If you are using stable: use koffice1 from stable. If you keep using
kde 3 with a mix of testing and unstable, downgrade back to koffice1 from
stable together all its depends. IMHO, if you want to keep using kde3, it
is better if you only use stable.

Bug#534166: Problem is way to KDE4

2009-06-25 Thread forum+debian
The problem is that the packages are now screwed to KDE 4.2.2.
So there is a Mixup from KDE 3 and KDE 4!
It is not surprising that this is not working.

As solution i downloaded manually the correct packages from stable and
installed them manually:
 dpkg -i kttsd
 dpkg -i kttsd-contrib-plugins_3.5.9-2_amd64.deb
 dpkg -i ksayit_3.5.9-2_amd64.deb

Now it is working a little bit again, but not complete.

Hi,
Since you are using testing, you should not have packages from both
kde3 and kde4. Testing only has kde4 now. The missing kcmkttsd module
is not really missing, but you should use kde4's systemsettings to run
it. kcontrol only shows kcm modules from kde3. You can run it
separately if you want using the command kcmshell4 kcmkttsd. If it
is still not opening, try running kbuildsycoca4 as a user.

Regards,
George

Bug#534166: Problem is way to KDE4

2009-06-25 Thread forum+debian
Hi George,

i can't find any messages or news that KDE4 is in production in Debian
Testing now?

There are only Test-versions of KDE4 like
http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde4livecd.html

So it is Testing and not Unstable, and therefore i can't see a reason
why a productional KDE3
is going to be destroyed, without having a running KDE4?

And so why KDE3 and KDE4 is mixed up?
It must be mixed up, because there are packages exchanged in KDE3.
It is understandable that Testing is now trimmed to KDE4, but please in
it's own path.

I cannot understand this?

Regards
Karsten

Bug#532585: konqueror: please add dependency on install-info

Please also make sure that kdebase takes quite some time to build on most

often a waste of everybodys time.

The bug will be serious as soon as we upload dpkg with the Breaks: field
against all info-browsers that do not depend on install-info.

Currently i have put Breaks: konqueror ( 4:4.2.4-2) so please ensure
next upload has the dependency. And do not wait too long, please.

See http://wiki.debian.org/Transitions/DpkgToGnuInstallInfo for details.

Cheers,
