It is also reproducible with a machine having both kde-minimal and kde-full,

Bug#553180: [akonadi-server] Looses data

2009-10-29 Thread Robert Wohlrab
Package: akonadi-server
Version: 1.2.1-1
Severity: important

When I add a item to korganizer, close korganizer and logout over kmenu i will
loose my new added entry in 99% of the time. I only have the Akonadi
Compatibility Resource with an ical calender file and Birthday
Anniversaries subressource. It seems that the file isn't synchronised after
the logout. If I wait some minutes before logout it seems to work as expected
(I can find the entry in my ical file after waiting, but not after direct
logout).

2009-10-29 Thread Salvo Tomaselli

I've reported this bug to kde bts but they claim this is not their fault
so... well here's the link of the report:
   https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179997

Could you please give us more details?
I am unable to sign emails in kmail. If i try so sign one it says wrong
passphrase without prompting for it before. So i have no way of inserting it.
I'd bet that it would work with a key without passphrase.
Anyway, i can see this prompt when i want to read encrypted emails, so there
pinentry isn't missing.

They say it is a problem from the distribution. None of the workarounds
suggested worked.
I've also tried with a clean home, with the same result.

Now if you think the problem is not in debian but in the program itself, i
suggest you to contact them yourself.

kthxbye

Hello,

the bug you reported is a KDE bug. Please report it via
Help - Report bug... menu item of the respective application
or by visiting https://bugs.kde.org/ and following the
instructions to report a new bug.

We appreciate that you reported the bug, but sadly the
Debian Qt/KDE maintainers do not have resources to deal with
non Debian-specific bugs. Therefore it is unlikely that your
bug will be solved if you do not directly report it to the KDE
developers (unless it is/has been reported by somebody else).

Whenever you open a bug report or find an existing one in the KDE
bug tracking system, you can couple both this Debian bug and the
KDE bug together by sending a mail with the text below to
cont...@bugs.debian.org (replace KDE-BUG-URL with the address of
the bug report on https://bugs.kde.org/)

Bug#553201: phonon refuses to work with sound card and falls back to PulseAudio

2009-10-29 Thread Dominik Geyer
Package: phonon
Version: 4:4.5.2-2
Severity: important

On a fresh install when the user logs in the first time into kde4, the
startup-sound plays as normal (but the volume-icon won't show up!). In kde
system settings - multimedia, the audio test with the sound card (first entry)
works fine.

However, when doing a clean reboot and logging in the same user again, phonon
shows a notification that there's a problem with the sound card and it will
fall back to PulseAudio:

Notification from Phonon: KDE's Multimedia Library
The audio playback device NVidia CK804 with ALC850 does not work.
 Falling back to PulseAudio.

After this notification, the volume is reset to zero. Sound works (I guess via
PulseAudio, don't know) when set to a higher volume again. This happens on
every reboot (not when just logged out and logged in again).

They say it is a problem from the distribution. None of the workarounds
 suggested worked.
I've also tried with a clean home, with the same result.

Now if you think the problem is not in debian but in the program itself, i
suggest you to contact them yourself.

Sounds like your gpg.conf is not correctly configured.

The behavior your describe is typicall in this cases.

Please, check [0].

Bug#553288: kdelibs5: add r1033984 to fix various crashes

2009-10-29 Thread Michael Musenbrock
Package: kdelibs5
Version: 4:4.3.2-2
Severity: normal

By introducing r1032787 (which is done with patch
01_r1032787_khtml_show_hide_fix.diff, another bug was introduced [1].
Now some application windows crash on closing, so some currently done
changes are probably lost.

So please add SVN commit 1033984, as mentioned in comment #9 in the
upstream bugreport [2], to fix that error.

So please replace patch 01_r1032787_khtml_show_hide_fix.diff, with the
new attached one.

I am sure, I even have it working perfectly since the first beta of KDE 4.1.

It is most surely a problem in your gpg.conf.
