Re: KDE3 and broken Help-Handbook
On 2009-11-29, Ben Burton b...@debian.org wrote: Hi, A short question: Since KDE4 moved into debian, the help menu has been broken on (presumably) all KDE3 applications. The issue is described in #525621 (filed in April 2009), and the fix is a small patch to kapplication.cpp (borrowed from ubuntu, which it seems has been applying this patch since jaunty). Is there a chance of applying this patch before the freeze (presumably well before the freeze, since kdelibs is a fairly important library)? On-the-fly documentation is an important part of the user experience, and it would be great to have this working again for the many KDE3 apps that are still in use. We have a patch ready in our svn, we are just waiting for some packages to transition to testing before uploading anything. We are doing it a bit differently than how ubuntu is doing it. And we have plenty of time until freeze in march. /Sune -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

Bug#558132: systemsettings has gone
Hello So, please, please, could you tell me why I having these inconsistencies (input/output) error (Error de entrada/salida in spanish)? Nothing strange in system logs, I am behind a firewall and, except nVidia legacy drivers, no software installed apart from debian testing. By the way, no disk errors in system log either. This is either a disk error or a filesystem inconsistency (found a bug in the kernel, yay ^^). You should monitor your harddisk with SMART just in case it is a hardware failure. Regards -- Xavier Vello signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Bug#558787: plasma-widgets-addons: bubblemon shows animation at random
On Monday 30 November 2009 12:45:42 Andreas Marschke wrote: Its not a bug. Bubblemon aswell as any other monitoring plasmoid only shows the activity and its strength as it currently is. So if you want to see your bubblemon go animate bubbles (eg if set on cpu) start compiling something and you will see bubbles. Thank you for the answer. However I still don't get it, since sometimes I see the animated bubbles also when the cpu usage is relatively low. As far as I know, bubblemon animation should always show animated bubbles bubbling in the big bubble (sorry for the bubblish repetition!). The bubbling is faster when e.g. the cpu usage is high, otherwise is slower (I observed it when my bubblemon was showing the animation). As you can see in the attached image, I see no bubbles at all even if the cpu usage is 100% Thanks again. attachment: bmon_CPU_100.png
