Bug#563265: videosetting doesnt work using phonon-backend-xine

2010-01-01 Thread Andreas Marschke
Package: phonon-backend-xine
Version: 4:4.3.1-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

using the phonon backend and applications such as bangarang or dragon player
which both use the videoWidget().setHue/.setSaturation()/.setBrightness()
functions the applications arent actually changing the videowidget settings.

I asked the upstream people(#xine on freenode) and according to them its a
post-plugin
chain issue. I can not actually comment on that as I am only using it not
working on it.

Is it possible that it is a build time issue?

Cheers,

Andreas Marschke.

Bug#563298: automoc: 01_patch_out_qprocess_bug561203.diff breaks many builds on kfreebsd-*

2010-01-01 Thread Cyril Brulebois
Package: automoc
Version: 1.0~version-0.9.88-3
Severity: grave
Justification: Breaks many rbdeps.

Hi,

as mentioned on IRC, many qt/kde builds (e.g. kde-style-qtcurve or
kdiff3) are broken by this version of automoc. I also confirmed
reverting to squeeze's version (1.0~version-0.9.88-2) make those
packages build fine.

I applied the attached patch to see what was going on, and kdiff3's
build goes as quoted below. I'm not sure what's causing this, let's just
open a bug for now to keep track of build failures.

Bug#563352: [konsole] Interprets -e in a way inconsistent with x-terminal-emulator policy

2010-01-01 Thread Filipus Klutiero

Package: konsole
Version: 4:4.3.2-1
Severity: important

As reported in upstream #170867, konsole's interpretation of the -e
argument is different from xterm's. This is a problem in Debian as an
xterm-compatible behavior is mandated by policy 11.8.3 Packages
providing a terminal emulator:
Support the command-line option -e command, which creates a new terminal
window[77 http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/footnotes.html#f77]
and runs the specified command, interpreting the entirety of the rest of
the command line as a command to pass straight to exec, in the manner
that xterm does.
