It seems to be a reincarnation of bug #330470.

This is an Iceweasel bug: none of the Okular's .desktop files associates it
for the inode/directory mimetype (which represents a directory).

This is not a solution at all, this just a workaround (even an ugly one,
IMHO).
"x-directory/normal" is nowhere a standard mimetype, it is not even registered
with the shared-mime-info database.
Dolphin is correctly associated for the "inode/directory" mimetype (which is
the oly correct one), and that's all it is needed for being used as handler
for directories.

What kokeroulis meant is you have been asked about this bug from another

No, Krita from koffice 2 uses libkdcraw from kdegraphics.

Left-clicking the akregator icon in the taskbar does nothing. It doesn't matter
whether akregator is displayed or not. I'm not sure if this is a problem with
kontact since I use akregator through kontact so I'm filing the bug with
kontact.

Note that the kommander executable does not allow you to create kommander
scripts, just to run them (see kommander --help for details). Running
kommander without any additional arguments is therefore of no use.
However, you're right in that kommander does not recognize the --stdin option,
which is indeed a bug.

I have a folder with JPG files (extension .JPG). There are also some files
with extension .jpg. If I select 2 of the .jpg files, and press F2 (rename),
I get in the dialog: "New name #.jpg".
But if I select two of the .JPG files, I get "New name #"
That is, the extension is gone. Isn't that an inconsistency?

I guess a more consistent way to go would be: If all the files selected to
be renamed have a common extension, then show it in the dialog, else, don't
show any extension.

Package: plasma-scriptengine-javascript
Version: 4:4.2.4-1+b1
Severity: normal

I recently installed the "scripted image" plugin to display
a weather forecast as described in:
http://hanswchen.wordpress.com/2009/07/30/plasma-a-nice-weather-plasmoid-in-4-easy-steps/

I used
http://www.yr.no/place/Austria/Upper_Austria/Linz/meteogram.png
as "Image Url", Scale applet to content, and an update time of 30 minutes.

When I do a "killall plasma && plasma" I see the following error:
JS CONSOLE MESSAGE: line 1 : "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: init"

When I click configure and apply I get a similar error:
JS CONSOLE MESSAGE: line 1 : "ReferenceError: Can't find variable:
configChanged"

Excerpt from script.js (part of the code of "scripted image"):
function init()
{
//alert("init")
g_img = new Image();
g_img.onload = widhtHeightReady;

constraintsEvent(FormFactorConstraint);
configChanged();
}

configChanged is defined in this script too.

As others commented on the Blog post, that it works for them, I guess
it is not a bug of the "scripted image" plasmoid.

regards,
Martin Maurer

The System Monitor widget (to specify, it includes thermometer,
CPU, Network, Disk, and Info monitors) does not save all settings
upon logout. It does save which monitors I have chosen to display
and the approximate position on the screen, but all other settings
are lost upon logout. For example, I have specified which CPUs,
network interfaces, and hard drive partitions that I wish to
monitor, as well as their respective update intervals. However, all
of this information is lost after logging out of the current
session. This behavior seems to undermine the point of custom
settings.

kdevelop override disparity

2010-02-17 Thread Archive Administrator
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

kdevelop-data_3.9.98-1_all.deb: package says section is devel, override says
kde.
kdevelop-dev_3.9.98-1_amd64.deb: package says section is devel, override says
kde.
kdevelop_3.9.98-1_amd64.deb: package says section is devel, override says kde.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

Package: plasma-widgets-workspace
Version: 4:4.2.2-2
Severity: normal

KDE4.2 now supports luks-encrypted devices, however the device notifier widget
does not show them. Only in dolphin or the menu the encrypted device is shown,
and only after entering the password there the device gets shown in the device
notifier.

Disabling "Enable Actions" works but isn't persisted across restarts.

Selecting "Collapse Parent Group" on a group of tasks in the taskbar does
nothing.

When running many instances of the same program (e.g. konsole) the panel groups
them. Selecting "Expand Group" results in the group to be all displayed as
separate
tasks. Selecting "Collapse Parent Group" doesn't collapse them back into a
group.

Hi,

I've recently moved from squeeze to unstable, and with it the new version of
ark.

I've noticed that ark in KDE 3.5 used to offer a right-click context menu
whereby you could archive according to .tar.gz, .tar, .zip, .bzip2, .tar.bzip2
But in the ark in KDE 4.2 unfortunately doesn't offer this option set,
especially for bzip2, and just offers rar or gzip compressed tar.

Could we get .tar.bzip2 and .bzip2 back in the 'compress' context menu when you
right-click please?

Package: kde-icons-oxygen
Version: 4:4.1.0-2
Severity: normal

Hey,

kde-icons-oxygen is really nice, but it has a small annoying bug.
index.theme references two non-existent directories,
scalable/animations/small/22x22 and scalable/animations/small/16x16.

That means everytime I run an application (at least a gtk one), it outputs:

(xfmpc:22646): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory
scalable/animations/small/16x16 of theme oxygen has no size field

(xfmpc:22646): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory
scalable/animations/small/22x22 of theme oxygen has no size field

Attached patch should fix the problem.

kdebase-3.5.9.dfsg.1/kcontrol/ebrowsing/plugins/ikws/searchproviders/dmoz.desktop

Name=Open Directory

Name[eo]=Malfermu dosierujon

Tio ĉi estas erara, ĉar la frazo "Open Directory" temas pri Open Directory
Project kaj ne estas komando enhavanta verbon kaj substantivon ("Malfermu
dosierujon").

This is incorrect, because the original ("Open Directory") refers to the Open
Directory Project and not to a command including a verb and a substantive
("Malfermu dosierujon" means "Open a directory").

Dear kopete-team,

I sadly like to report, that it is still not possible, to offer the webcam
to someone else (neither with yahoo nor anyway else). It seems, the button
for offering a webcamchat has no effect, although in configuration options
of kopete, the webcam is funtioning well (gspca2 and uvcvideo).

Someone reported of an error in the sourcecode of kopete, and told, that the
key code
of webcam invitation is not correctly read. I am no coder, so I did not
quite understand this. It is just a hint, please apologize.

This bug was reported before,too, but somehow it was was forgotten, or
accidently closed, so I would like to reopen it again.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Best regards

Hans-J. Ullrich

this is noise. Should be that

Package: krfb

Severity: important

After taking remote control of this host using a VNC client and then
disconnecting, the host refuses further connections.
Looking at the host's screen reveals a KDE crash window that says krfb crashed
with sig6 SIGABRT.
I have tried several VNC clients but they are all causing the same behavior.
The krfb isn't run manually but as part of the KDE control center's
"Desktop Sharing" applet.
Closing the crash report window or running "pkill krfb" reopens the port.

Connecting and then not authenticating (cancelling the password prompt in
the client) also causes the same crash

kword's desktop file doesn't comply to the standards [1].

Running
$ desktop-file-validate /usr/share/applications/kde/kword.desktop

gives upon others the following line:
/usr/share/applications/kde/kword.desktop: error: value
"application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text;application/x-kword;application/msword;text/rtf;text/plain;application/x-mswrite"
/for string list key "MimeType" in group "Desktop Entry" does not have a
semicolon (';') as trailing character

If you believe filing a bug against this is superflous let me know, this
isn't the only package generating this kind of output.

Regards,
Chris

The Games for Kids directory file
(/usr/share/desktop-directories/kde-games-kids.directory) contains the
following line:
Icon=package_games_kids
The problem is that the icon package_games_kids.png does not exist in the
kde-icons-crystal package which is used by default. This
way the Games for Kids menu has no icon. This looks boring, ugly and broken.

Version: 4:4.3.2-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Akonadi imap resource (akonadi_imap_resource) is unable to communicate with
CommuniGate Pro IMAP
server. The problem is that it requires IMAP4rev1 capability on the
server. But server returns IMAP4REV1.

The fix is really a very simple. Just change in
kdepim-runtime/resources/imap/imapaccount.cpp to add
Qt::CaseInsensitive:

if ( !m_capabilities.contains( capability, Qt::CaseInsensitive ) ) {
  missing << capability;
}

After that you can easily connect to CommuniGate Pro.

Best regards,
Sergey.

When I open Gwenview through Thunar with clicking on the first image in
a directory, the previous/next buttons do not behave correctly.

I have observed two different behaviours, in two different directories:

1. The button "Previous" is active but does nothing while the button
   "Next" is inactive. After selecting "Browse" and choosing the second
   image, all works fine, even when navigating back to the first image.
   Selecting the first image here does not work.

2. Both buttons are enabled, but only the "Next" button works. When I
   select "Next" and then "Previous" to go back to the first picture,
   the "Previous" button is disabled after that.
