Bug#589699: Display issues: windows are darken when resized

2010-07-19 Thread Yves Lambert
Package: kde
Severity: important

This bugreport looks like incomplete and maybe a duplicate (I am using
reportbug GUI for the first time. I am used to use CLI instead). If necessary
please forward it to Debian Qt/KDE Maintainers

When resizing windows the client part of it gets all black. This can occur to
any window, but it seems that it does only occure when k windows manager is
running.

A way to reproduce it is to maximize a window: this way, it looks like any
window gets black. When resizing a window, this sometimes get back, sometimes
stays normal. To get window's normal display, un-maximize it helps in most
case. A darken window's nomal display can be got back by maximizing it then un-
maximize it, but this does not work every time.

Bug#589610: Bug does not manifest for collection

2010-07-19 Thread Marcel Dischinger
Looking more into this issue, I discovered that oggs are played just
fine when they are part of the Amarok collection.

But oggs are not shown in the file browser (in the context pane of
Amarok) anymore with the vlc backend, but they are there with the xine
backend.

Thanks.

Bug#589610: phonon-backend-vlc: Backend does not play oggs in Amarok

2010-07-19 Thread Marcel Dischinger
Package: phonon-backend-vlc
Version: 0.0.1~git1+1b1ce593-1
Severity: important
Tags: experimental

For me, this backend does not play oggs in Amarok.
I cannot even add oggs to the playlist in Amarok, while this works fine
with the xine backend.
Even worse, when I have oggs in my playlist while using the xine backend
and then switch to the phonon backend, Amarok crashes when I apply the
change (vlc being the most prefered backend) in the phonon backend
selection.

vlc plays oggs just fine.
