Bug#597674: klipper: kilpper doesn't show all items in global menu

2010-09-21 Thread Krasu
Package: klipper
Version: 4:4.4.5-3
Severity: normal

Entire menu: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/92/bug1w.png
Search by first two letters: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/4601/bug2b.png

Klipper stores 7 elements, but shows only 6. The active element is not shown in
the global menu. I can see it only in a search mode.

Bug#597673: ksnapshot: area capture doesn't work properly when klipper's menu is opened

2010-09-21 Thread Krasu
Package: ksnapshot
Version: 4:4.4.5-1
Severity: normal

Choose the following ksnaphot parameters:

Capture mode: Region
Snapshot delay: 3 seconds

Open klipper's global menu with its hotkey, wait for selection area

Bugs:

1) Usually in this mode ksnapshot changes cursor to cross, it doesn't do this
now. I need to click once, then cursor is changed to cross
2) Usually I can use Enter to close selection area, it doesn't work now

If the klipper's global menu is not opened, ksnapshot's selection area works as
expected.

Bug#597668: unable to get ksysguard graphs to display on panel

2010-09-21 Thread Michael Deegan
Package: ksysguard
Version: 4:4.4.5-3
Severity: normal

Attempted to drag a sensor (such as, say, Total Interrupts) from System
Monitor to the System Monitor widget results in, as far as I can tell,
nothing happening (the mouse cursor does gain a plus sign indicating that
it can be dropped there).

(Also, the widget itself resolutely displays as only an icon rather than
actual graphs, but for now I'm assuming this is intended(?) behaviour)

This is a bummer as I had a panel full of graphs under KDE3.

Yes, so a new dialog opens which is modal. By definition, a modal dialog
absorbs all input from the other dialogs or GUI widgets which the same
application has opened. Unfortunately, in this case, the app opening this
modal dialog is a main KDE plasma shell (plasma-desktop) so the dialog blocks
it, i.e. your whole desktop.

Yes, the only unresponsive application is plasma-desktop. Too bad it happens
to manage the whole KDE desktop.

Yes, that's what happens when modal dialog is closed. The parent application
starts reacting to input events as usual.

> But if I minimize the dialog window, I don't see any way to return,

It is not true. You can use Alt+Tab. Alt+Tab is served by window manager.

> In my opinion, making the desktop widgets unresponsive

> etc).

I would like to stress one thing here -> you willingly minimized the dialog
when the rest of the desktop was darkened. So you as a user did a mistake but
you still have a way out of it (Alt+Tab). Therefore, this bug is by no way
critical as it does not affect anywhere majority of users nor it's
consequences are severe. Actually, it is a usability issue so it is merely of
normal severity. Generally, I would call it minor but I agree that your
arguments against modal dialogs hold in this case. Users may run into such
corner cases by accident.

Bug#597647: qtcreator: Missing dependencies

2010-09-21 Thread tcl_de

Package: qtcreator
Version: 1.3.1-2
Severity: important

Dear maintainers,
the qtcreator package also depends on the following packages which are
not in included in the package dependencies:
 libqt4-script, libqt4-svg, libqt4-webkit, libqt4-designer

If those packages are not installed qtcreator will either show a warning
on the console and won't start
or it will show a message box that saying that
libQt4[script,svg,webkit,designer].so could not be found.

In order to verify my report please make sure that your package
management app doesn't automatically
install recommended packages.

Please fix this in your next package upload
Thank you.

Bug#597642: /usr/bin/kdevelop: Package does not depend on, suggest or recommend any compiler

2010-09-21 Thread Jeroen N. Witmond [Bahco]
Package: kdevelop
Version: 4:3.5.2-1
Severity: minor
File: /usr/bin/kdevelop

*** Please type your report below this line ***

I installed kdevelop et al. and tried to create the SigCreate project as per
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/KDE3/Qt_Designer_and_KDevelop_3.0_for_Beginners

Trying to build this project first runs automake et al., ending with
running configure,
which fails with the somewhat cryptic message
configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
  See `config.log' for more details.

After discovering that this file resides in directory 'debug' I was able
to determine that
the problem was caused by g++ not being installed.

Installing g++ and the packages it depends on solves this problem.

Bug#597638: plasma-widgets-workspace: device notifier: configuration: can't add/remove properties for actions

2010-09-21 Thread Braun Gábor
Package: plasma-widgets-workspace
Version: 4:4.4.5-3
Severity: normal

This is about the configuration dialog for editing
an action what is offered to a device (eg open with file manager)

The dialog only offers to edit the parameters already there
but not to add a new parameter or remove an existing one.
In particular, I don't see the "+" and "-" buttons to do these.

Best wishes,

Gábor Braun

Bug#597635: plasma-widgets-workspace: Device notifier configuration dialog freezes desktop

2010-09-21 Thread Braun Gábor
Package: plasma-widgets-workspace
Version: 4:4.4.5-3
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

1) I right-click on the device notifier icon on the panel
and select "Beállítások" (Settings) from the menu.
2) I select the second icon from the top in the left pane:
"Eszközműveletek" (Actions)
3) Now in the right, I see actions like
"Megnyitás a fájlkezelővel" (open with file manager).
I select an action and click on the middle button "Szerkesztés"
(Edit) below.

At this point, the desktop darkens and the items on the desktop
(panels, widgets on the desktop etc) become unresponsive.
No switching to minimized window, no logout, KDE menu unavailable.
Only the window manager actions remain: eg moving/resizing windows,
using the icons on windows, switching to another displayed window.

A new dialog appears where one can edit the actions.
By closing the dialog, the desktop returns to normal color and
the widgets are responsive again.
But if I minimize the dialog window, I don't see any way to return,
so I am stuck with a hardly usable desktop.

In my opinion, making the desktop widgets unresponsive
is a critical bug because they are essential for using the system
(starting applications, logging out, switching between applications
etc).

Best wishes,

Gábor Braun
