Bug#677480: [kde-window-manager] restore icon color in task switcher

2012-06-14 Thread Ara Keary
Package: kde-window-manager
Version: 4:4.8.4-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

the 4.7->4.8 debian kde upgrade has brought a lot of improvments in the
windows behaviour and decoration

One improvment however should be either removed or more user-tunable: the
task switcher, in the option where tasks appear as a text list with icons,
appears only with grey shaded icons, which renders the use of the list much
more difficult (not to say vain) .

It is indeed much more difficult to identify the application one searches
for: one has the feeling to have developped achromatopsia!

Restoring (or adding a new option) colors in the icons would be very
appreciated.

Best,

Ara Keary

Bug#677438: Please enable pam_loginuid by default

2012-06-14 Thread Laurent Bigonville
Hi,

So let's try to be more clear about this bug.

pam_loginuid is used to track user login. This module is needed
by different things: the audit daemon, consolekit and systemd (for the
later, the lack of calling this module, produces some nasty issues, like
breaking sudo).

The module must only be called in login-like services (login, xDM,...)
and not in services like sudo as this is defeating the purpose of
having a UID per login. The pam-auth-update is currently laking (see
#677288) a way to add modules to login services only.

pam_loginuid.so module is already present in the libpam-modules package
which is Priority: required which means it's installed on every system
by default.

The module need to be added in between the call to selinux close/open
and before pam_ck_connector modules (if they are already present in your
pam service file), I also recommend to add it before the
common-session(-noninteractive) include. For example:

 session requiredpam_selinux.so close
 [...]
session requiredpam_loginuid.so << Add it here
 @include common-session
 session requiredpam_selinux.so open

Cheers

Laurent Bigonville

Bug#672932: kdepim: New upstream version available

2012-06-14 Thread bassslave
sure, but what is the plan about current testing? will wheezy be
released with kdepim 4.4 (from early 2010)?
I hope not, but maybe there is a good reason holding that version. I
just haven't found any information about that in the pts and want to
know.
To me, no actual package even in experimental raises fears about the
maintenance-state.

Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

just tried dolphin [1] the other day and it had one really neat feature
(besides its slick interface): It remembers the view mode for each
directory. Say, you have a directory with many pictures, you will switch
to the image view mode, and if you later visit the directory again,
dolphin will remember that and automatically use the image view mode.
In konqui, if you switch the view mode, all directories are affected,
which is rather annoying.
For konqui, this feature would be even more useful than dolphin, because
konqui can (and does) embed a whole lot of kparts (e.g. CVS, SVN etc.).
Having konqui automatically switch to the kdesvn view mode, if I enter
one of my SVN directories would be extremely useful.
Atm. I have to switch to the SVN view mode manually after entering such
a directory, and have to switch back to the normal mode if I leave the
directory again. As this is quite cumbersome, I rarely use the
specialised view modes.

Cheers,
Michael

Hello,

I used konsole with the bitmap font once provided in xfons-konsole package.
After upgrade from etch to lenny I'm unable to use it. Even if i click the
Font/Install Bitmap... option and proceed. I can see the fonts in ~/.fonts,
I can use them with xterm -fn
-misc-console-medium-r-normal--16-160-72-72-c-80-iso10646-1
but konsole itself cannot find it, and neither can kde control center, or any
kde app.
Can someone tell me what should I do to make KDE use fonts in ~/.fonts ?

Thanks
