Bug#659155: Hangs when trying to add a new printer

2012-07-24 Thread Helmar Gerloni
Hi all,

I had the same problem today on my fresh Wheezy install: Trying to add a new
printer in KDE's system-config-printer-kde makes the dialog hang forever.

The solution was to add the user to the group lpadmin:

usermod -a -G lpadmin MyUser

I had to logout/login from KDE, then adding a new printer worked fine.

Same solution as for bug #659155. Issue is also discussed in bug #680195.

Regards,Helmar.

Bug#680408: kwrite: cursor in wrong position at right edge of screen

2012-07-24 Thread Barkın Çelebican
Package: kate
Version: 4:4.8.4-1
Followup-For: Bug #680408

Dear Maintainer,

Trying to edit my website files which have long lines and tabs
I find that the more indented the line is the further away from
the right edge of the window kate's cursor stops.

I tried changing my tabs to spaces and keep the indentation hierarchy.
Only the distance changed, not the behaviour.

Adding tabs, spaces or any indentation in any file format makes the cursor
stop at that distance from the right edge.

Bug#680408: work around

2012-07-24 Thread Barkın Çelebican
I have found that the "Align dynamically wrapped lines to indentation depth"
setting in Settings -> Editor Component -> Appearance -> General -> Dynamic
Word Wrap to be the culprit. Changing this setting to anything under 20%
solves the frozen cursor problem.

This setting doesn't actually seem to work either. Setting it anywhere from
20% to 80% (which is the maximum) has no difference. If the line wraps it
continues from a
distance identical to the indentation. And setting it to 10% is the same as
disabling it.

Bug#664898: upgrade-reports: KOrganizer loses the data updating from version 4.6.x to 4.7.4

2012-07-24 Thread Samuel Smith
I was bit by this too from the update in wheezy. None of my events were
listed in korganizer and trying to add a new one ended up with "No
calenders found" error. I clicked the "+" in the bottom left pane and
added the akonadi calender and everything works now and it seems to have
restored all of my previous events.

Regards,
Samuel
