Bug#689339: kwalletmanager: the kwalletmanager GUI does not appear

2012-10-01 Thread Paul Gevers
Package: kwalletmanager
Version: 4:4.8.4-2
Severity: normal

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

I recently installed wheezy KDE on my laptop. I am used to manage my passwords
with kwalletmanager. However, if I select the kwallet manager in the K-menu,
start it via ALT-F2 or start if from command line, I don't see any GUI.

It seems to be running:
paul@wollumbin ~ $ ps aux | grep wallet
paul  3324  0.0  0.5 283440 16108 ?S18:54   0:00
/usr/bin/kwalletd
paul  4002  0.4  0.6 287636 17384 pts/0S18:56   0:00
/usr/bin/kwalletmanager

Also, when I start it from command line I get a warning, but the exit status is
ok:
paul@wollumbin ~ $ kwalletmanager && echo ok
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
Application may misbehave.
ok

If I stop kwallet and start it again I get an additional warning:
paul@wollumbin ~ $ kwalletmanager && echo ok
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
Application may misbehave.
Connecting to deprecated signal
QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)
ok

Please let me know if I can help more to get this issue fixed.

tag 655573 moreinfo
thanks

Hi,

With the latest version of KDE in testing (4.8.4), Okular does handle the form.
I am able to fill in the form, and print it. Could you please try with this new
version to confirm ?

Regards,

Adrien

Hi denk! This is not the list to ask such questions, next time please refer to

The OGL ES support has been disabled because at the time it appeared some
package modifications were necessary and it wasn't clear if there was some
kind of autodetection of which kwin to use or the users would have to
configure stuff by hand.

One of kwin's upstream has already contacted us for this, and we will surely
enable it after Wheezy's release, but with no ETA yet.

Kinds regards, Lisandro.

KWin GLES support

2012-10-01 Thread denk
Hi,

I would like to know why the OpenGL ES support has been disabled in KWin and if
you could enable it again!?
I would like to check if using OpenGL ES solves the problem I have since a long
time: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28106#c71

Thanks
