Searching for "Could not perform immediate configuration on 'phonon-backend-vlc'" on the web show several users see the same problem. I even found a Ubuntu bug report from February detecting the same issue, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911659 >, but it apparently went away without anyone knowing why. Perhaps this bug is in apt, given that some reports that it help to upgrade apt first? -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#671274: Pending
Control: tag -1 pending Hi! We have just looked at this issue. As mentioned in the bug report, depending on python-gobject does indeed avoids the crash. Saddly, the module doesn't works if cups is installed but stopped. As this module will get deprecated, we made it depend on python-gobject, to at least solve the crash.
