Bug#711261: okular: Alt-Scroll for horizontal scroll behaves differently at top and bottom of page
Package: okular Version: 4:4.8.4-3 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, I was happy to discover that okular can horizontally scroll when one is holding the Alt key. There seems to be a minor bug associated with this behavior, though. When *not* in continuous view mode, when viewing single pages, and when the vertical scroll bar is locked to the top position (and the view is at the very top of a page), pressing Alt and scrolling up (which intends to scroll left) causes the document to scroll up to the bottom of the previous page. This is not a feature designed to support document reading, as this scroll-up behavior occurs regardless of the position of the horizontal scroll bar (and the horizontal position of the document is unchanged). Likewise, attempting to scroll right when viewing the very bottom of a page scrolls down instead. This bug is marked minor because it is easy to work around as a user: just scroll a little away from the page boundary and horizontal scrolling works as desired. It's a bit disorienting, though. :) -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages okular depends on: ii kde-runtime 4:4.8.4-2 ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1.1 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.2-5 ii libjpeg8 8d-1 ii libkdecore5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkdeui5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkio5 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkparts44:4.8.4-4 ii libkprintutils4 4:4.8.4-4 ii libkpty4 4:4.8.4-4 ii libokularcore14:4.8.4-3 ii libphonon44:4.6.0.0-3 ii libpoppler-qt4-3 0.18.4-6 ii libqca2 2.0.3-4 ii libqimageblitz4 1:0.0.6-4 ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqt4-svg4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqt4-xml4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqtcore44:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libsolid4 4:4.8.4-4 ii libspectre1 0.2.7-2 ii libstdc++64.7.2-5 ii phonon4:4.6.0.0-3 ii zlib1g1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 okular recommends no packages. Bug#711237: Logging into KDE turn off the screen (for laptops with i915.invert_brightness=1?)
Package: kde-full Version: 5:77+deb7u1 Severity: important User: debian-...@lists.debian.org Usertags: debian-edu When installing Debian Wheezy on a Packard Bell EasyNote LV, the screen is turned off when the machine boot after installation. See http://bugs.debian.org/710938 > for the details. When applying the workaround (i915.invert_brightness=1), I get the gdm and kdm login display, and can log in. And when I log into Gnome, I can use the desktop. But when I log into KDE, the splash screen show up, the first icon show up, and then suddenly the screen is turned off. The login continue, and the screen to not turn on again until quite a while later. I suspect what happen is that the screen saver kick in and try to turn off the screen while in reality it turn it on again. When I move the mouse, the screen turn off again. I have no idea what package could cause this, so I file it against kde-full, hoping you can help me debug this and pinpoint the problem to the correct package. The same problem exist in Ubuntu Raring when logging into KDE there. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I’m not familiar with docbook, and there seems to be different versions. Do you happen to know is the dh_make example file /usr/share/debhelper/dh_make/debian/manpage.xml.ex the kind of docbook KDE devs would prefer? Bug#602676: missing manpage for /usr/games/palapeli
¡Hola! There is a manpage already submitted in the git repository of the debian package, sadly we haven't released that version, yet. For future efforts, whenever you submit something with a copyright claim you need to add the respective license, if not its considered non-free, which is no good for us. Also, if you are interested in this kind of issues, after creating a bunch of simple manpages I was told that the KDE developers (upstream) prefer the docbook format, so it might be a worthy effort to convert the manpages in the debian packages from groff to docbook and submit them upstream.
