Bug#833803: oxygen-icon-theme: Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory base/ of theme default.kde4 has no size field

2016-08-08 Thread Fernando Santagata
Package: oxygen-icon-theme
Version: 5:5.24.0-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,
I'm running Debian sid. After one update/dist-upgrade cycle I found out that
starting gvim from the terminal output this message:

(gvim:14295): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory base/ of theme default.kde4 has
no size field

The directory of the theme default.kde4 is a link to the oxygen theme
directory.

On my system "dpkg -S /usr/share/icons/oxygen" outputs this:

dragonplayer, korganizer, oxygen-icon-theme, kdepim-runtime, konq-plugins,
kopete, kdepimlibs-data: /usr/share/icons/oxygen

so one of those packages wrote something incorrect in the index.theme file.
When I delved into that file I found out that in the "Directories="
configuration parameter, among the other directories listed, there was a
"base/", which does not have a corresponding section.

The patch to avoid the error message is just to find the string "base/," in the
list of directories and delete it.

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 829...@bugs.debian.org.

   * What led up to the situation?

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
These menu items are apparently no longer used and should be removed or moved
to a package where they work. Nepomuk-core-data is a dependant of several KDE
packages. Probably left over when the switch to baloo was made.

Dear Maintainer,

Just what the summary says. In KMail, I right-clicked the Junk folder
(37400 messages, 500M, about 8000 were unread) and selected "mark folder
as read". This seems to have worked, but since that moment, and for more
than an hour, the system was constantly at 100% CPU, where every bit of
free CPU is taken by the Nepomuk server's Virtuoso process.

I killed -HUP the virtuoso, it restarted and went back to 100% CPU.

I killed -HUP the nepomukserver, and the CPU came back down to normal.

Package: nepomuk-core-runtime
Version: 4:4.10.5-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
After upgrading kmail to kmail 2, it is necessary to have a
running akonadi server, and also nepomuk is connected to this.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
Well, kmail is not working, probably the migration tool got stuck.
But this bug is on Nepomuk, and the issue is that within KDE
settings dialogue, section desktop search displayed:
"Nepomuk installation is not complete". So Nepomuk was not usable
despite all packages were installed.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
see above

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
a running deskop search engine nepomuk, and besides
kmail 2 working :/

Solution: After installing virtuoso-minimal and its
dependencies, desktop search works, no more complaints
on behalf of kde settings dialogue.

Package: nepomuk-core-runtime

I am not sure against which package this bug should be filed. Feel free to
reassing as appropriate.

When I launch krunner and enter a search term and choose an e-mail from
Nepomuk's results, krunner launches Icedove, which in turn shows the compose
windowṡ

What should happen instead is that kmail displays the full text of the e-mail
that was found.

Kmail is set as the default mail handler in KDE,

Again, I don't know, which package is actually to blame, so I apologize in
advance if my guess was wrong.

Thanks,

Johannes
