Thank you all for the detailed review, which really helps.

I'm not really familiar with C++/Qt/KDE packaging but this package
falls in this range as a dependency unfortunately.
I will read those instructions and fix problems.

Bug#870168: kate: Missing dependencies, file system browser plugin messageboxes error on activation and does not work

Dear Maintainer,

I use kate but do not use KDE, my desktop is Mate. In Debian 9 if I try to
turn on Kate's plugin "filesystem browser" error messagebox appears.
Plugin is nevertheless plugged into GUI but is empty and does not function.
I searched through Inet and found this may be fixed by additional
installation of packages:

% apt-get install kinit kio kio-extras kded5

This resolved the issue.
