Bug#903812: kmail: KMail fails to import from archive

2018-07-30 Thread MH
Package: kmail
Version: 4:17.12.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #903812

Dear Maintainer,

I exported an IMAP folder containing fewer than 100 messages to see how well it
would work.
Accepting the default settings, it created an archive file with "tar.bz2"
extension without
reporting any errors. However, when I tried to import the archive using the same
Import/Export tool I got a "Cannot read file" error message.

I CAN open and view the file using Ark, but that's of little use restoring the
mail folder
to it's original state.

I may have reported this bug previously, but I'm not sure if I included the
note about
Ark.

It will however cause bugreports to pop up because qttools5-dev-tools’
content will not be the same across architectures (and, as it would
affect only d-ports architectures, likely ignored).

Perhaps splitting off qdoc into a separate package could help?

(Incidentally, that would make qdoc available on at least x32 by
foreign Multi-Arch as it could just run the i386 or amd64 version.
Of course not on the buildds, and this is no general solution for
other architectures, but users could use that. It’s not a priority,
of course.)

Another option might be to ask upstream whether there’s a chance
to support qdoc on non-llvm/clang architectures, perhaps a variant
of the last version to not require it.

After all, this does not only affect “obscure” platforms but also
new ones in general, such as arm64 for a while, riscv64 for now,
and porting LLVM is quite the task (GCC would already exist at the
point of them being added to Debian, but there are much more worthy
targets than LLVM in regards to making available, such as OpenJDK
and even GHC…).

Bug#905047: plasma-widget-weather: Shorten too-long titles

2018-07-30 Thread Anthony DeRobertis
Package: plasma-widgets-addons
Version: 4:5.13.2-1
Severity: normal

After rebooting today, my desktop weather widget is suddenly much wider,
apparently because my weather station is:

Washington/Dulles International Airport, DC, VA

That leads to a very wide, silly-looking layout, screenshot attached.

Really ought to be a way to shorten the title. For example, 'Dulles
Airport' would be perfectly clear and fit nicely. Alternatively, a
smaller font would work — or an option to hide the station name
entirely.

How many rdeps show problems? You should not start a transition except you
have just a couple of cases. And if there is an API change then you need to
inform rdeps with time, at very very least a month (and that would still be
too fast).

Cheers, Lisandro.

Bug#905032: krita: FTBFS against libraw 0.19.0

2018-07-30 Thread Matteo F. Vescovi
Package: src:krita
Version: 1:4.1.1+dfsg-1
Severity: important
Control: block 904777 -1

Dear Maintainer,

while testing build status of reverse dependencies of libraw for the
upcoming transition (now moving from 0.18.xx to 0.19.0, with a SONAME
bump), your package has shown problems with this new version of the
library I maintain.

Following, here's a snippet of the error encountered:

Bug#904688: qttools-opensource-src: FTBFS: please drop the libclang-dev B-D on some architectures

That looks like it will work.
